Flushy is on "In-Poker" this week - the last airing is TONIGHT.
what time, nothing on my sky planner
It is Tuesday today, right?
Oops, sorry. That Edition aired for the last time last night, sorry.
I've spoken to Feltham, & they are gonna give me a few DVD's of th Show, & I will pass them round to those interested, & maybe somene clever could Upload it somewhere. Or Download. Or whatever.
My fault for not mentioning it before, it started airing last Thursday, sorry.

well compo & tikay were standing outside a hot food stall in leicester square... that was advertising what it sold on a canopy on the top of the stall that read..
BURGERS FISH CHIPS
They then mentioned there was an interview with James Dempsey and pointed to one of the above items of food. I'll let the blonde public decide which one......

One for you Tikay, came up on the Wikipedia home page yesterday:

Couldn't help but giggle that the private railway to the psychiatric hospital was a spur off the Cuckoo line.

I finished reading Dwain Chamber's autobiography this week and continue to be impressed by the way this guy has bounced back from adversity. We had a debate about his treatment starting on page 280 of this diary, and his book certainly confirms how his life continues to be blighted by his mistake. I recommend people read the book to give themselves a balanced view of the situation before condemning the man for all eternity. It is a very honest account and open admission of his stupid error, why he did it, what he's learned from it, and how it's affected his life.
What strikes you is the way he's viewed with complete contempt by the authorities and the public even years after his punishment was served. And it's that viewpoint that's challenged by Chambers in his book. Diego Maradonna cheated in sport. Maybe he's the most famous cheat of our generation. He willfully punched the ball past Shilton and encouraged his team mates to cheer a goal so the ref would allow it. He called it the Hand of God....fnarr. He was later banned from football for taking both recreational and performance enhancing drugs. In Argentina this man isn't scum though. In fact quite the opposite. He's referred to by the people as GOD, and the authorities have given him the top job of national team manager. In England though, Chambers is still thought of as cheating scum and his path to redemption seems forever blocked. He was denied the opportunity to compete in Bejing even though the GB team that went to China included athletes and coaches with similar indiscretions.
However, they cannot deny the fact that this guy has returned stronger than ever and 100% clean. This month he won the gold medal at the European Indoor Championships in Turin, and set a new European record in the process. He's running quicker than ever, clearly showing his involvement with drug use was a bad mistake and completely pointless.
What a great envoy to any youngster in the REAL world. He tours inner-city schools and athletics clubs spreading the message about the dangers of drugs and he is the most credible person in UK athletics to do this. Kids listen to him and are willing to learn from his mistakes. Fair play that man. I really hope the authorities allow him to run in 2012. A host of current drug cheats will inevitably be competing in those games so I think there's a place for a reformed and repentant one. If he was a citizen of any country other than England, Norway, or China he would be there.

I hope Chambers is turning his life around and good luck to him if he is.
What sticks in my mind is that innocent people lost out by being stripped of medals due to the fact HE cheated. Maybe that is why he is still frowned upon

+1
If your cheating only hurts yourself, then it's your call. But if it screws up other people as well, then you can GTFO IMO.
