Here's a nice pic of blondeite Stu Fox, with a Supervisor, a lovely Dealer Lady, & a dodgy geezer.

Well, Karabiner, that involves a deep delve into the bag of old notes and bits of paper, but I tend to hoard things and so with information:

First session finalists:
Rumit Somaiya
Chris Johnson
Paul Dargon
Stuart Fox

Here's Rumit Somaiya, or as ActionJack has christened him, "Eyebrows Rumit".

And Paul Dargon. Never met the guy before today, I believe he plays a fair bit of cash up North.

Stll no sign of the Final starting. The Tv peeps are fiffing & faffing with the wires & things.

Ayyyup, they've just called all Finalist to the table, at last.

Karabiner - I bet you were about to suggest that the more rested first flight guys did better.... I would have thought so too.

Tikay off to get pics of the rest of the finalists, as they're slowly making their way back to play some more cards.

Someone mischievously suggested earlier that "deal talk" may be in the air. Don't be silly. The Finalists have been called to the table, but not one of them has arrived yet. All 9 of them are stood in a corner of the cardroom having a fairly anumated conversation.

And any suggestion that they agreed £20k each, plus an extra £25k for the winner, an extra £20k for 2nd and an extra £15k for third is patently untrue. Several of them rejected the notion. Allegedly.

Still no sign of ANY of the Finalists, despite being called 5 or 10 minutes ago. Whatever CAN they be talking about?

Well, the chips are all on the table and the finalists are about to make their grand entrance.  I have snuck into the spectator seating which was looking a tad thin and so I will be able to give you an account of all hands as they are announced by marvellous tournament director Richard Stanton.

There is an air of anticipation, and a bit of fidgeting.  I can see Rumit lurking at the back with Stuart Fox...

Mick doesnt like to deal and if hes had a drink they aint got a sniff of convincing him to deal. I would say that Paul Dargan wouldn't be to bothered either.

And, allegedly, Stu Fox, amongst others, rejected any suggestion of a deal, (the hypothetical one) & they are playing for the Prize Structure "official".

The players are, at last, being announced to the audience.

Let's get this thing started!
