Patrik Antonius has knocked out Hans Ari Varsi with
vs
, Varsi hit his Ace, but Patrik four-flushed in clubs.
Aditya Agarwal knocks out Miguel Magan Tier with 6-6 against 8-8. 6 on the river. And a chair went flying across the room.
Annette Obrestad got well and truly kippered. She raised to 2.3k from UTG, Paul Wasicka pushed behind her and then Peter Tofting called his push. Everyone folded back around to the online sensation and she moved all-in as well, forcing Tofting to call her bet as well having both covered.
Wasicka:
Tofting:
Obrestad:
Board:
Wasicka takes the main pot, Tofting the meagre side pot and Annette_15 is OUT, the victim of a bad call perhaps?

Tables are breaking smoothly and coming to the end of this first 400/800 ante 100 level we've already dropped from 204 starting players to around 187. One of those just gone is Patrick Bueno who was taken out by Juan Maceiras Lapido. There was a raise preflop (I am going to guess this came from in-position Lapido) perhaps even two as the pot was just over 6k as the flop came down
. Patrick Bueno checked, Lapido bet 8,500 and Bueno moved in. Instacall - Lapido showed
but made a sound like someone had just stood on his foot with a high heel when he saw Bueno's flush-drawing
.
Turn and river:
and a relieved young Spaniard smacks the table, shouts, "Yeah!" and has a quick grinning conversation in Spanish with the dealer, to the confusion of tablemates Thor Hansen and Jan Sjavik.
__________________________________________________________
Praz Bansi hasn't got off to a good start - raising with
he was called by the big blind and got all the way to the river with the board reading Q-5-3-3-7, at which point Praz paid off his opponent's 5k bet with
. Having started off with under 17k, this was a decent chunk of his stack, but he's calmly regarding his 10,200 he has left as still being more than a chip and a chair.
Chip counts for Table Bansi:
Jesus Manuel Garde 44,700
Samir Rahal 14,800
Peter Clark 42,000
Michael Greco 8,500
Jason Coyle 25,100
Gregory Dyer 45,500
Lee McCreery 10,400
Praz Bansi 10,200

Ian Woodley, on the other hand, had a great first half hour, despite nearly missing the start as he'd failed to notice the time. "Is it five o'clock already?" he asked me, surprised, while lurking near the cash-game signup board where he was trying to insert Ryan Fronda's name into the 10/20 PLO list. He hurried off to immediate success (he's now the big stack on his table with around 50,000) while I put Fronda down for some 50/100 No Limit Hold'em with Dario Minieri.

Desperately short stacked Nikolay Losev makes a last stand with
, but is knocked out by
...
...Matey re-raises preflop from the small blind, getting his 21k all in against Simon Wolf (I think - they are already mixed up around the room quite a bit) with
against
. Pretty bad shape for the all-in player, but an
on the river doubles him up turning the tables on his now short-stacked opponent. Unusually, no reaction...
...
Mark
Teltscher
, still nicely chipped, raises to 2,400 on the button (with what looked suspiciously like a ready made little stack nestling by his other towers), called by the big blind (Kitai Davidi Jacob). Checked to in the dark for the
flop, Teltscher bet 2,800; call. Check-check for the
and
turn and river, and Jacob showed the
which was good enough, apparently. "Nice hand, sir," said Teltscher, clearly not bothered by losing the skirmishes, focused on the war...

Some counts from one table which has the benefit of having lots of players we recognise on it as well as being right by the 'rail' (selection of awkwardly placed chairs):
Phil Starrs 32,000
Sverre Sundbo 59,500
Gunnar Oestebroed 21,500
Ramzi Jelassi 16,500
Rayan Nathan 52,000

Having a few connection problems here, it's all rather slow.
Adam
Junglen
calls a 3k raise from the small blind, I don't think it is the original player from that seat, Richard Guttman, because he started the day with just 1,100 and this guy has a lot more.
Flop:
Small blind bets 4k, Adam calls.
Turn:
Check, check
River:
Small blinds bets 8k, Adam slowly moves all-in for 29.4k more. Small blind eventually folds.
Daniel
Negreanu
is on over 60k, he had
against the big stack's
and a shorties'
. The crowd swelled as the board came an unthreatening
.

And we hear that Praz Bansi is OUT (thanks, Howard) all in with the genuine
but busted by a spiking
.

We will do Mr Goatzilla, but it'll have to be in an hours time, as we are now on a 75 minute dinner break.
APAT Champ Phil Starrs has shot up to 70k, he was very glad to be off the Sverre Sundbo, David Williams, Ramzi Jelassi table.
Finally Stefan Mattsson knocks out Kristian Ulriksen with Aces against Queens AIPF.

The chip lead is bouncing all over the place now.
Paul Wasicka was over 100k, but was forced to fold on the river of a
board after his opponent moved all-in on the river.
DTD's Michael Grehttp://blondepoker.com/forum/index.php?action=post;topic=26939.30;num_replies=40
Post replyco is up to 30k having been down to just 4k. No sign of Richard Ashby though, I think he's out.
Pete Giordano and Samuel Laborde (who looks a lot like his countryman Arnaud Mattern). The former passing
after his 8.5k bet on the turn of a
board was suspiciously min-raised by his opponent who only had 12k back.
Martin Wendt, the Scandie Mitchell Brother.
Finally, I arrive at the table of Dag Martin Mikkelsen and Dani Stern who are in what looks to be a 30k+ pot. The board reads
. Dag checks the river, Dani moves all-in, having the Norwegian well covered. After about 30 seconds Dag makes the call and shows
, Dani mucks and 'DMMikkel' is up to what looks to be 90k. (You can also see Jen working hard in the background here!)

Thor Hansen doubles up off of the volatile Juan Lapido who spent the first couple of levels today winning every other pot (the others picked up by Nikolaus Jedlicka, it looks like). They saw a flop heads up of
at which point it looked like Hansen's whole stack sailed across the line as his
were found to be miles ahead of the young player's
... turn and river brought some Threes, and 26,000 more chips for the Scandinavian.

Daniel Negreanu bites the dust -
against
... A-K-9 on the flop, gutshot-creating T on the turn, emphatic blank Deuce on the river. Everyone seems rather disappointed in the press room, but the rest of the tourney bravely carries on.
