We are not hugely off the 200 capacity for the day at a whopping 174 players, the room really doesn't look like there are that many players in it.
Usual GUKPT Structure
10,000 starting chips
1 hour clock
and playing 9 levels today.

£500 chopper, Pete Linton plays his Aces cagily after seeing a
flop, he check/calls the 200 bet from Des Jonas on the flop and the 325 bet on the
. Both check the
river and Pete's Aces are good against Des'
.
Over on table 7, Stephen Bayliff raises David McCrone's 1,200 river bet on a
board to 3,200. At this early stage any sign of the purple 1k chips being thrown into the middle gets my attention pretty sharpish. McCrone relents though and passes, and any hope of action dissipates and I'm forced to resume my wanderings to pastures new.
On a
board, Rumit Somaiya check/raises Alan Davies' 600 bet to 2,500 but gets called. Rumit moves all-in on the
turn and Alan mucks his
face up.
The very next hand Alan Davies raises again in the big blind. getting several callers including Julian Gardner.
The flop comes:
Which is checked around.
Alan bets 600 on the
turn, the player in seat 8 makes it 1,600 and Julian Gardner flat-calls.
The river is the
, an effective blank. Seat 8 checks, and Gardner bets 2,500 to take the pot.

Lucy Rokach is OUT. Like the sun this morning, details are hazy but we've heard she turned a set against a flopped flush and got all her chips in and missed the river.

There's been a major disaster with the seating plan. Many of the players down as playing tomorrow like Thewy have their stacks on the tables and are down as playing today. So there's a load of confusion and I don't think we'll be getting a full seating plan for today, sorry.

Alan Davies is OUT, he had
on a king high board, but Zafar Aslam had
, and all the money went in by the river.
Robert Boon has busted John Eames. The latter writhed around in utter agony when Boon moved in on the river of a
board, as the pain increased, so did the crowd, flocking with each passing second. Eventually Eames called with
, as Boon triumphantly turned over the
for the rivered house.

Rumit
Somaiya
is OUT. He lost a big pot to
Julian
Gardner
holding two pair after Gardner manage to turn/river a flush. He then held top pair against a set for his last couple of thousand.
Nick
Slade
just paid off a 1,800 river bet to Bambos on a 3-5-4-K-J rainbow board. Bambos showed 7-6 for the flopped nuts whilst PI Slade flashed a King.

Zafir Aslam has 18k and seemingly comfortable...
...Whilst Paul Gourlay is suffering a rollercoaster, arriving at his table with 14k, he dropped to 9k after he called a re-raise all-in with Jacks but allowed another player with Eights to also call and hit a set. Then he re-raised someone with Jacks 3 hands later only to run into Kings. This dropped him to 1.5k but he's just doubled up with
against
.
Officially, there is actually only 154 runners today due to the mix-up in seating, but there's already 170 registered for tomorrow, so it will most likely make capacity.

There has been a
Pete
Linton
major BLOW UP......When I arrived at his table he was sat all in for his last 1,500 chips shaking his chips. When I probed how he had got into that unfortunate situation, the table found it quite hilarious, Greek Jack said "He played brilliant yesterday and awful today!" Pete was not divulging what he had done and told me to just state:
Pete
Linton
BLOW UP
His all in with 1,500 incidently resulted in a treble up for him with 33 against the Kings of
Ben
Vinson
. A lovely 3 on the turn for Pete and he has a few more chips to dance with. I have instructed him to sit tight please, whilst I type up his latest misfortunes and again the table found this muchly amusing. Pete's reputation is growing for his infamous to Notts players yoyo's...

Le has 10k and seems to be enjoying himself.
Nick Slade on the other hand is OUT. He called a bet on an Q-6-2 board with A-6 intending to take away the pot on the turn, when the turn was an offsuit 7, Nick decide to just call and make the move on the river as the 7 didn't seem to help his opponent. The river was another 6, and Nick just flat called a 3,200 bet from his opponent, only to discovered that he was up against 7-7. His last 3,000 went in with 9-6 on a 8-5-7-x (two spades) against
which rivered a flush.
Zafir Aslam is rivalling Greek Jack for the chip lead, he's up to around 35k after flopping a set of tens on a T-6-3, he silenced the Sid James-esque cackle of Jeff Duvall who had unluckily flopped trip 3's by making quads on the turn.

Jim Moult / bookiebasher is OUT.
Down to 6,000 he raised with
and had a caller in Barbara Gibson, the flop came:
Jim bet 1,500 and Babs reraised to 3,000. Jim decided to push and Barbara called with a shock
. No diamond or 8 came to save Jim and the lady wins with A, King kicker.
In Linton news, he doubles through to about 9,000 holding A K versus K Q all in preflop.
