of the 80k left between the 4 of them, they were all guaranteed 9,500. Take that out 4 times and we have over 40k left to chop up based on chip counts. He'd need less than 200k for it to be fair.
wp all anyway, the bomber is a legend.and ul Jen, but you can't win all our tournys!

Boooooooo to being outdrawn by dominated hands. I think this exact situation was an exit hand in another event Jen played relatively recently.....ah well. Unlucky, well played and all that. Buy her a drink from her brother, Dana!
Ya unlucky but she outdrew on me in a similar situation coming towards the last two tables these things happen, great performance anyway. The deal seems shocking really for 3rd and 4th

In general - tournament deals are terribly devised. Knowing what is a good and bad deal is something most players suck at.

4 handed, Bomber lost his chips to Michael Trimby...not Kiernan as i foolishly claimed before lol...but he lost them even quicker than he knocks back pints of guiness so I missed exactly how...
BUT this meant
Thomas Nolan
is OUT in
4th
position, winning
€24,500[/
b] as per the deal the four thrashed out.
Well played you drunken maniac!
3 handed Whittey moved in with 8-9 and was called by Trimby with T-3.
The board brought no surprises, meaning...
Ian Whittey
is OUT, eliminated in
3rd
position, winning €
15,000
, as per their deal.
Heads up, the remaining players Michael Trimby and James Kenny agreed to split the €2,000 they were playing for, with Michael taking the trophy, meaning...
James Kenny
is OUT, eliminated in
2nd
place, winning
€11,500 + €1,000
as per the deal.
AND
MICHAEL TRIMBY
is the
WINNER
of this year's Waterford MAIN EVENT, winning
€29,500
+ €1,000 as per the deal PLUS the marvellous WATERFORD CRYSTAL TROPHY
!
Well played all the players and thank you to the organisers for a superbly run event. It's been great fun!
A final few photos to follow...

Hello everyone! Thanks for the support - I haven't been online all weekend due to lack of ethernet cable in my hotel, but Dana has been relaying messages with excellent efficiency.
A couple of notes - I received a blessing in the form of a button shove with Nines which ran into a big blind Tens but sucked out on Day Two which set me up with decent chips (I would otherwise have had around 90k instead of 300) for which I am grateful to the same poker gods who three outed me in 5th on the final. That hand, Trimby raised on the button to around 180k, and I shoved with QK for c. 400k - that's how it went. I had previously misread him twice (for a resteal when he had Kings, and then for a genuine hand when he pushed me off AJ preflop) but had decided to reverse my impression of him and finally got it right - just in time to get busted. He deserves his top place finish and congrats to all who finalled.
A special thankyou to the three guys who may or may not have been inebriated sitting at the rail shouting Go Jen - that was totally unexpected and therefore awesome.
There's no way in hell I would have done a deal, least of all that deal, but well done to them nonetheless...
Cheers little bro and mum...er...changed my flight so I am leaving at 7am from Waterford and will be asleep for the next 20 hours. Great structured tourney and I would play this every week if I could.

4th placed chips was extremely short, but 3rd had 500,000 chips and blinds at 20/40k
Interesting deal to say the least
Thanks to Dana and Rod for a wonderful update today
Well done Jen and all the final tablers today
and a big thanks to Neill and team at Big Slick who put on a sensational festival for blonde and all the players. Cheers!

Here is Michael receiving his trophy from the amusing, entertaining and engaging Neil Kelly...
(Apologies for the blurs, I suck with a camera!)
Here is Tikay entertaining the masses once more with a cracking story about trains...
and the enthralled crowd...
And finally, just to complete the guiness watch...
Once Bomber left the table, we were left with this sad spectacle of the once crowded-with-guiness sidetable, now abandoned. While looking at this imagine the Hovis music playing gently in the background...

Yes yes, so many thanks to Mr
Neill
Kelly
and Big Slick for making this a delightful tournament to update; also thanks again to Laxie for keeping us well-lubricated, as it were, well done to all the finallists, and we are now probably going to get really frunk, I mean drunk, because Jen's buying and our flight leaves in like 6 hours (thanks Floppy). Yay Waterford!
I am now sticking like 100 forks in this marathonesque update. Over and out.
