Grosvenor Midlands Masters: Interactive

Evening all! Welcome to the Grosvenor Walsall where I am all set up in the High Roller Room, leeching off of some unspecified wifi and all ready to bring you news from this relatively boutique £750 event. I will be updating solo for the next hour or so owing to Junglecat encountering some interesting train problems, so please please do tell me your picks, requests, hilarious asides and so on, but also please go easy on me if I'm a bit sloooooooowww for the first hour or so...
Spotted so far are, um, Snoopy, mainly because he gave me a lift from the station but also because he is playing tonight, and also Mr
Ian
Woodley
. Will make more of an effort to spot more Notable Runners in just a minute. Also to be mentioned immediately, though, is Mr Red Dog, currently final-tabling the £500 event. Go Red Dog!
They were due to start at 8 but for some reason they're kicking off at 8.30, so I'm going to
have a cup of coffee
run around and find out some interesting stuff. See you shortly...

You've been running for 10 mins! Where's my player list? How many chips does Snoopy have? Which socks am I wearing? Where's the cough medicine? Is it wrong to have pizza for breakfast? How many runners?

Looks like they're shuffling up and dealing any second. I have a full player list but it'll take me a little while to get it typed up, so for the time being here are just a few of the spot-ees spotted lurking in the casino and therefore probably playing tonight unless they're secretly living here:
Dave Smith
Julian Thew
Jon Hewston
Dave Colclough
Matt Tyler (who told me to report that he gave me a kiss, with tongue, but the tongue was in my ear - none of this is funny, or true)
Chili
Paul Jackson
Des Jonas
Chris Bruce
Looks like a small but perfectly formed field - we have 70-something runners (tbc) but it looks tough as old boots to me. Good luck all!

Your player list is on the poker table I am using as a desk. I tried to photograph it to make things go quicker, but not only would that make the little words on it impervious to the Find function, but it would also come out like this:
You're just going to have to wait for me to type up the whole thing, young lady.
As for the rest of your pointless queries, Snoopy is still on his starting stack I hope, but it's possible he's short already as one hand has been played and Julian and
Dave
Colclough
are both on his table. Cough medicine most likely in kitchen cupboard, but possibly I drank it all out of the bottle some nights ago. Pizza is never wrong. Either 76 or 78 runners (couldn't read it from a distance) barring late entries - I'll check shortly. I bet you're still wearing those horrible grey socks with the huge holes in the heels. Does anyone have a sensible question? Like, "would you like a cup of tea, Dana?" Yes please. Player list on its way...

Pictures of Maria, Snoopy and Stuart Rutter's scarf, when the camera is warmed up, please. I can see the latter making a good gif, btw, if you have any spare photoshoptime on your hands... And good luck to all three.

I'll see if I can find out anything on him. Last I checked on the £500, it was Red Dog and Steve Holden heads up. Steve was ahead on chips by 2: or 3:1, and it looked like some dealing was being done. I suspect it's over by now, will attempt to find out what happened...

Again, will try to find time for needless animation, but just got a message from Junglecat who is having a train nightmare (see?? TOLD you driving wins every time!) and won't be here until 10 or so. Here's what he would look like if he were here, although actually in my mind he looks a bit like Popeye in this photo. Never mind.
