If Daniel Negreanu ever needed a new nickname, then I don't think he'd go far wrong with the 'Pied Piper of Poker Fans', as wherever he goes, the groupies follow. I guess he's a great, updbeat character as well as a big name in the game, so it's understandable when his table is the one being watched by the most people. Daniel is currently not giving the fans to much to shout about with 18,775 in chips.

Take a look at these scenes, only mirrored by those of TV's own Tony' tikay' Kendall on his last outing.

I recognised Bruce Yamron from a strong run in the 2007 Irish Poker Open. He seemed calm and relaxed throught, but as I watched his table eagerly just moments ago, he was in a state of perplexity as his more youthful opponent pushed all-in for circa 15k in a 6k pot and a board of . Bruce thought more than a contest of Who Wants To Be A Millionaire on the final million pound question, before shrugging his shoulders, saying "The worst I reckon you've got is A-J" and making the call. As he flipped over , Bruce was mighty (or almighty - ahem) relieved to be met by rather than a potentially bone-crunching Six.

Does the J 10 not win here? Or am I just having a moment!!!!

My apologies, I misclicked, it should be rather than , hence both have a full house and Bruce was worried about the Six.

Good spot! Lucky I misclicked here rather than in a big pot online.

James Akenhead is up to a nose-bleed inducing 48,600. He hasn't hit too many flops, but the one he did make provided him with a double up. Calling a pre-flop re-raise with Queens, he subsequently hit a Two Clubs Flop and successfully survived a showdown against when a third Duck arrived on the River.

It hasn't all been plain sailing for James, as he nearly got his fingers chopped off earlier when he called a pre-flop re-raise with Q-J, called a bet on a J high Flop, checked the Ace on the Turn and bet the raggy River. Mateyboy folded Big Slick face-up and let the Londoner off the hook, so fingers remain in tact, although I expect James thought he was value betting at the end.

Just as this exchange of dialogue drew to a close, TJ Cloutier shouted out "Hey, come over here, big boy." Whether it was a knee jerk reaction or because we thought he was talking to one of us, I'm not sure, but both of us turned round immediately. Unfortunately, I think, TJ was actually directing his affections over to Rob Hollink, who I can only assume is considered to be very well endowed... or so TJ seems to think.

Greg Raymer is OUT, his sixes losing a raise against Ace Queen. Gunnar Osterbrod and David Williams are also OUT.

Juan, I found Carlos Lopez but no sign of your other guy. Mad even asked Carlos in Spanish if he knew where 'Krusty' was but he didn't. Carlos has around 18k.

Bill Edler who won both a WPT and WSOP bracelet in 2007 bets 4,100 on a board getting Joe 'JoeHachem' Hachem (I'm sorry I really like referring to him by his Stars name) to fold, just as there table was broken.

Karl Mahrenholz's seat is empty, which either means he has shrunk so small that we can't see him, perhaps like that bit at the end of Beetlejuice when Michael Keaton's head has shrinking dust sprinkled over it, or, and quite possibly the more likely of the two explanations, he is out.

Mark Friedman, who you may remember from his third place finish in the GUKPT Grand Final at the Grosvenor Victoria in London, has been bashed down to the felt and is now on a paltry, frown creating 2,725. I didn't catch the betting action, but when I joined the action, they were counting out the chips on a board of with Friedman's paying off Yankieboy's Two Diamonds.

One of the guys on Karl's table is Clayton Newman, who is a big poster over on 2+2. He made a very funny comment last night after seeing his table draw.

Quote
my table draw has nothing but live euros with little record save one guy who is a member of some diet-coke version of the hendon mob.

First his Red Hand Gang gets dissed, and now he's out. Bad day at the office for Karl, it would seem.
