Meanwhile, on Berquist's table, the little guys are still hanging in there, Adrian Gaville finding himself all-in with A-T versus K-Q. A vomit-inducing King hit the 2-K-J Flop, but after the 5 Turn, a Queen arrived on the River to keep Gaville alive. I had to double check the board at one point, because Gaville was about as cool as you can get, his facial expression not budging an inch. No whooping and hollering from this guy. In fact, if you peeled a cucumber of its skin, popped it in the fridge and shipped it off to the North Pole, it still wouldn't be as cool as Gaville was during this hand.

A couple of seats down, Tom McEvoy is keeping his head low with 48,200.

Julian Thew has doubled up with Aces against after the board bricked out. "Only the second time I've seen a flop all day..."

The yo-yo grinder is now up to 80k.

Going even better than this is Stuart Taylor, in the 600/1200 level he raised to 3,500 from the small blind with Q-T. The flop came a not unhelpful Q-Q-T. Ok, now how to get paid off. He started with a flop check/call of 6,500. Then both checked the T turn. On the river he made a weakish 10k bet that managed to elicit a push from his opponent, which he called quicker than a Flushy posting a put-down on the PHA board.

Elky has lost a chunk with being in bad shape against on a two hearts three diamonds board. Both hit their flushes but Elky loses around 40k of his stack.

Dublin EPT victor Reuben Peters is up to 80,000 after eliminating his neighbour with 2-2 v 9-9, a nasty 2 on the River. His drowning opponent didn't take defeat well, his bang of the table enough to alert the Beagle ears.

Duy Le is up to 300k after finding Aces against A-Q and hitting a rather clinical 2-6-A-J-3 board. It's hard at the top!

Hi guys, my first ever post.

Im a journalist in Essex and just letting you know its beautiful here: clear sky, about 2 degrees and no ones bringing me free pizza.

Just want to know who you think is looking strong for a final table birth?

Golly, that's a tough question. Unfortunately, I have a feeling that we shall be watching an all American final, most likely brimming with young, fearless teenagers. However, never count Nick Gibson out, he has a cracking little record and is due to go deep in one of these. A double up in the near future and he could be in with a great chance.

Chris Moneymaker is OUT, in hand where Nick Gibson said he 'imploded'.

Adam Green raised to 6,000 and Moneymaker made the call, the flop came K-Q-x with two hearts, Green bet 9k and Moneymaker made it 18k. Green called, and then led out again on the turn for 22k when a third heart appeared on the board. Moneymaker moved in for 55k total and was instantly called by Green's leaving Moneymaker's Jx drawing dead.

Another member of Pokerstars, Daniel Negreanu, isn't his usual chipper self, he's down to only 25k or so and the bloggers are circling awaiting a double-up or exit.

Nicolas Levi (here pcitured with WPT Barcelona runner-up Ludovic Lacay) has got over his earlier setbacks and now has approaching 150k.

Smashing news for Brit fans as Julian Thew, displaying a surprising level of patience today, has just doubled up off his next door neighbour pictured below. Raising it up pre-flop under-the-gun, Mateyboy received three calls, one of whom was Julian in the big blind. On the 8h-8d-3c Flop, everyone checked, before Mateyboy bet out 25k on the 3s Turn. After the other two players had ducked out of the way, Julian, as nonchalent as ever, calmly announced all-in and picked up his three remaining stacks. Clearly pained by his decision, Mateyboy juggled up the options in his mind before eventually making the call for what looked like circa 30k extra in chips. However, upon seeing Julian's commanding 8c-7h, Mateyboy folded quicker than Super Ted on Concorde, perhaps indicative of a middling pocket pair, or even A-K. Either way, Julian has surpassed the 100k mark and is finally gathering speed.
