I want to lose weight too, but i'm going to take things one step at a time and pack in the cigs first. Imagine that'll result in a bit more poundage round the middle short term, but I can deal with that later.

I stopped smoking in 2000. (God knows how, I'd tried loads of times before) I went on a diet at the same time. It was easier that way, eating just made me want to smoke. i have three vices in life. one i'm not getting anyway so to let the other two go at the same time would be too much! Crocheting? |

Weight wise, or actual physical proximity wise? Actually I feel very bloaty indeed at present especially after polishing off the remains of the Xmas pudding(and cream of course) this evening and I also seem to have become addicted to chestnuts. Mind you after catching a glimpse of the elusive tikay's corpulent paunch at close quarters yesterday which I can assure you takes considerable sustenance, I feel very much more svelte than the bare evidence of my bathroom scales would suggest. |

its noticeable that 10 m or so is what the marquee programmes get. A far cry from the 20-25m of Morecame and Wise etc Fragmented viewing habits, lots of TVs on PS3 and X-Box etc make these figures a lot lower than when Xmas TV was in its heyday |
