Seriously though. Do you think the advantages of being able to reason as a human outweigh the disadvantages of being able to reason as a human?
Considering humans are really good at making a mountain out of a molehill at the best of times, I tend to think there aren't that many advantages in the first place. And let's face it...how many humans these days to you know who
truly
take the time to appreciate the things you mentioned earlier?
But they do have the option to appreciate those things.
Take a walk around a library, an art gallery, a museum. Humans can make things other than mole hills.
Just playing Devil's advocate here.....
Yes, they have the option. But how many actually take advantage of it? As a supposedly superior species goes, we really are wasting our 'gifts'.
Yes, but that's personal choice, and not relevant to the question.
Right so. I've played willing guinea pig today. lol I'm really interested to hear - what's your take on all of this?

OK. I know I'm not the sharpest tool in the box, but white poodles, really? Why?
Oh and does size matter? Can it be standard, miniature or toy?
I remember you told me you had a dog as a kid. Was that one a white poodle?

Well first of all, thank you for indulging me.
My take? I honestly don't know. I'm still wrestling with it.

The "hummingbirds" are my favourite. We met a professional camera man and I had been trying to get a good picture of these birds all week (im not the greatest photographer but i have luckboxed some shots in my time). I just mention if he managed to get a snap id really appreciate a copy of the pic. He told me he thought he had got an "ok one" - ill let you decide..................

Actually, no, but I am learning to live with it.
As problems go, it's not really much of a one. It only bothers me when I sit in a soft seat for any length of time. Getting up or sitting on the floor cures it immediately.

Miniature or toy, I can't remember any standard poodles as friend's pets in my youth although I love the breed.
We had a poodle when I was a kid called Marcus or Marcus barkus as I called him he was a black miniature with a sweet nature, but we inherited him fully trained from some friends of the family who were moving abroad.
Re. the white poodle thing, I think they were very fashionable pets in the 1960's/70's and it became a bit of a Jewish in-joke that when people died they said that they would like to come back as a white poodle with a Jewish family as they were so pampered.

I heard today that if you shuffle a deck of cards, the odds are that no other deck anywhere in the world has ever been shuffled into that particular order.
I have no idea how to work out if this might be true.
Well if you multiply all the hands pokerstars have ever dealt by 1000 and then divide the total permutations of 52 cards by that number what you get is another number with 53 zeroes, so I'd guess that it is true.
