When I was young, I used to go out grinding with my granddad, I have a load of stories about it, remind me to tell you some day.
Was it Tikay?  Tikay can't grind - he's either all in or all out second level! The best grinders have one big rough stone, and one smooth oily one, That'll be Mr Grumpy & Mr Cooey-Wooey then..... Tom, please tell us more of those Gypsy tales, like the Grinding man - I think we used to call them "tinkers"? It was a beautiful piece of writing. It's going in the book - your Editor just said so. I hope you save these pieces on Word or something. |

It reminded me of reading Watership Down, one of the few fiction books I've ever read. The Rabbits had their own little language for daily chores & habits.

Red if you have a soft spot for miss driver,have you seen the US tv series "the riches"where she and eddie izzard play american travellers who after a car crash take over the lives of a suburban couple.Not very flattering towards the US travellers,however it's well acted,entertaining and minnie is scantly dressed in many scenes.LOL http://www.fxnetworks.com/shows/originals/theriches/#Home |
