Tom I don't know whether its still relevant to you err your friend, but I have now found a link that explains how difficult it is to hide your location from a poker site.  A lot of people assume that because they can easily arrange to watch BBC Iplayer etc from abroad, the same arrangement will work for poker.  A lot of people got caught by stars playing in the US last wsop and reverse freerolled themselves.

If you read the comments in the article it shows how difficult the whole thing is.

Thanks for this Dave.

I don't understand why sites without a licence for a particular country care what you do.

They care because if they allow access in Nations where they do not have a licence, local operators raise objections to their overall licence elsewhere.

If you used next door as an example, they guard their licence with incredible obsession & so do not allow (knowingly or willingly) access from countries where they are not licensed. By any simple calculation, & extrapolating current annual revenue over a 10 year period, the Licence which SB&G hold is worth well in excess of a billion pounds, & without that licence, the business is dead. So, with so much at stake, it makes no sense to knowingly permit a random poker player who may generate £20 or £30 to potentially damage the integrity of their licence.

Fair enough.

It just seems silly that it should matter where I am physically, if you know what I mean.

Anytime return to Birmingham New st = £13.

Bargain imo. It would cost me £8 to park the car.

New Street or Moor Street?

The first half of New Street's big development is now complete, so the other half is now a building site, confusing the heck out of the regular commuters.

I'm getting trainy...sorry

Agreed, but when God made our planet, he had not intended that Man would stupidly divide it up into little areas which begat war, strife, racism & Online Gaming Licence complications.

...and Eurovision

Oh yes, definitely that.

If there were no boundaries & borders, there'd be no Eurovision. What a wonderful thought.

Now you tell me.

Spent ages trying to find the exit that I agreed to meet someone at.

Fun though, met an interesting random bloke instead.

Excellent!

Reminds me of the one where the doctor asks the Yorkshireman if his hemorrhaging wife has got the coil in.

"No!" he replies. "She ant washed fuckin pots up neither."
