You can move apps to the sd card instead of the phone memory, using one of a number of apps called app2sd and similar catchy names.

So I need an app to move my apps?

Mrs Red & I went for an early walk this morning, the weather was a bit overcast but still quite warm.

The beach was deserted save for a couple of local fishermen mending nets and some optimistic seagulls.

It was a lovely scene. I did my best to capture it with my phone camera. I'm quite pleased with the result.

That's pretty amazing.

I can't understand how people who do artwork that is too big to stand back and look at manage to keep proportions right, especially when it's a giant mural, a horse on a chalk hillside, or a group of presidents on the side of a mountain.

I noticed that uploading big files to photobucket is slow and uses a lot of data, whereas if I email them home to the girls I get the option to resize them.

It dawned on me that if I copy myself in to my own email, I get a resized copy of the picture to use as i like.

The poor quality pic above was taken last night nr the Spain / Portugal border. A boat came within about 200 yes of the beach, and about 20 people swam ashore.

What do you think that was all about?

Presumably a Ryanair cruise

Never miss the opportunity, eh?.......

I can't even do those things working on an A4 sheet of paper - totally in awe of people who not only have such creative vision, but also the skills to turn those visions into something we can all admire and take pleasure from

Loving the stories & photos, Tom.

We had a quick supper and went to bed to the sound of elephants trumpeting and lions roaring.

Mrs Red suffering from flatulence again? She is right up there with Compo in that department, I've heard her.

I can not confirm or deny that rumor, but, a certain someone who shall remain nameless, did,  while occupying a 10ft square ferry cabin, (sans porthole) roll over in bed during the wee small hours, let rip with a thunderous fart, shout, "Release the hounds" and promptly fall back to sleep.

I'm currently reading this. It's a nice mix of philosophy & science. Kind of like Warren Buffet meets Douglas Bader.

I think it will appeal to those of you who enjoy aeroplanes & cod loins.

When you travel in a camper van, it's a bit like becoming a member of a club, other people in campers stop for a chat or give you a little wave when they pass. Like everything, be it poker, golf, potholing, chess, banger, racing or whatever,  it has a subculture and language all of its own that the general public are unaware of.

The Algarve is strewn with people living in campers. Some, like us, are just here for a few weeks, others are 'full timers' who have sold up and taken to a permanent life on the road.

I was talking to one old bloke yesterday who, whilst explaining where to find fresh water, clean toilets & showers, the best value places to eat and shop etc, told us he and his Mrs had been full time for almost 20 years, managing quite nicely on a small pension.  They had travelled most of Europe but always returned to the Algarve for Christmas.

They are not unusual. There are hundreds like them. The one thing they all seem to have have in common is their helpfulness and their individuality. Fascinating characters all of them

Before we came, Mrs Red was worried that missing the girls would make her miserable, but she seems to be bearing up.

Thanks Maureen, all the best to you and yours for the new year.

We're loving it,  but to be honest I can't work up the enthusiasm to do a decent trip report.

I am taking lots of photos though, albeit just on my phone.

Here are a couple from today's batch, they were both difficult to get for different reasons.

The first is of a bunch of feral cats that were sunbathing on some old plastic sheeting. They were really wary and skittish, I had to tread very carefully to get close.

The second is of some plants in silhouette against a sunset. I was lucky to be in the right place at the right time, the light was only good for a minute or two.

Love the second one Tom. Great pic of Mrs. Red engrossed in her book, what is she reading?

Pleas post more on the places you have visited. Did you stay long in Santander? We were looking at possibly taking a break there in June.
