Home alone for a couple of weeks.

Experimenting with watching a lot of sport on TV and farting loudly at random as recommended by a blonde who shall remain nameless.

Which reminds me. I'll have to do an underpants inventory.

Possible scenarios are:
I have 14 pairs. (Unlikely)

I will wash a few pairs out. (Unlikely)

I will resort to the old, 'back to front then inside out' routine. (Strong possibility)

I always thought the cowboys had the right idea. Put em on in September, take em off again in May.

Also, do I wash up after every meal, or once a day, or when I run out of crockery?

I remember saying at the time, "Today I was pissing in the poshest toilet in the world, tonight I'm pissing in a bucket."

It might be nice Tom but it's not proper posh unless there is Molton Brown in the powder rooms.

I have to confess Shaz, there was no Molton Brown in the khazi, in fact I thought it was a euphemism for an unflushed turd, (Like a Molly Brown) until I googled it.

So it the time of writing I currently own 9 pairs of Reginald Grundy's, 7 of which are clean.

Apparently this is below the recommended number of 15/20 pairs but bang on the national UK average, which is something of a relief, I didn't want to become known as Tommy no kecks.

In addition to this I also have a pair of swimming trunks and some Bermuda shorts so, barring accidents, I should be OK.

I've just come to the somewhat disturbing realisation that I also have access to Mrs Red's knicker drawer.

It isn't necessary to single-use crockery.  Only those used for sticky or greasy foodstuffs need washing. Cups can just be used several times by rinsing them out with cold water. Plates etc that def need washing can be rinsed and left in the basin till enough have accumulated to require that you set aside your important business and deal with them.

Lovely to read your updates again.

Great advice Dave.

Today I have only used the one mug and rinsed it out each time, although being a "Builder's tea" type, it has still become pretty stained. God knows what my innards are like.

I have been experimenting with using squares of kitchen roll instead of plates for things like sandwiches and cake but they are so floppy and floaty that I end up spilling the crumbs all over and having to get the J Edgar out.

Tomorrow I will dust off and re-use any non greasy plates. Now that you mention it it makes perfect sense. There is no reason to wash them at all, ever.

Mrs Red will be chuffed to bits when I tell her.

The air-fryer, complete with suds, waiting for the big wash up.
