So if extra large eggs are now large eggs, that must mean that medium eggs are now small eggs, but what are small eggs?
Quayle eggs?

Going back a few years, when i lived up north, we used to get the egg man coming round every thursday... we always had a dozen fresh farm eggs each week, and nearly every week you would get at least one double yolker
Brightest yolks I have ever seen and the taste was a thing of beauty.
I miss the egg man
Nothings the same any more, even the pop man doesn't come now.
Don't see the oaky bloke much now either - and they never have proper ice cream just that soft nonsense (although I would eat it if offered ldo)
Next time you're in Northampton, try Gallone's ice cream, theiy have orangee and cream coloured vans and it is imo the best icecream anywhere. They can be found on the Welford Road so you won't have to go into Northampton proper. Or there is usually a van at the Picnic Area at Pitsford Reservoir

Barr are a Scottish firm, famous for their Irn-Bru amongst others. Their Dandelion & Burdock is particularly good as well.
Well they had a depot in Sheffield. It was on Orgreve Rd.
They were started in Falkirk & had a big factory out the back from Celtic Park (it's flats now). The recipe for Irn-Bru is a close kept secret & is still mixed by a family member only.

I haven't read anyything about the toyota recall but from the news clip I saw yesterday I'm wondering if prius drivers are even more stupid than clarkson would have us believe
it seems that the brake problem comes from an issue with the abs. apparently when it kicks in the driver gets a funny feeling under the pedal like the brakes are going off and on. Now, I've driven a lot of cars and I'm pretty sure that's what abs is supposed to feel like, presumably toyota are just going to recall all the cars and turn the system off so the eco warriors can stop worrying despite the fact that their cars are now less safe than before
I don't think that's it gat, ABS doesn't actually kick in until you brake hard enough to lock the wheels.
I was sent this txt today, made me laugh.
"Just driving my new car, Toyota Prius, will chat later, can't stop"

Does the pop man still come around?
In Sheffield, there used to be a company called Barrs Pop. They ran Bedford TK's with lovelly wooden dropside bodies. Serviced to death they was. Everyone wanted to buy an ex Barrs Pop lorry.
I managed to buy one once, and then I bought a HIAB crane that was all in bits on the top of a shed. When I finally got it all sorted and fitted together, it was a real road full. I was as proud as punch.
I have a pic somewhere, I'll try to dig it out.
We used to have the barrs pop man come round, Roy his name was, my cousin went out with his daughter.
Thats all I have to contribute Im afraid, that was about 25 years ago.
I bought my lorry around 1983, so your in the right era. where abouts did you live?

The local secondary school where my daughter goes came up with a cracking idea on how to stop that ridiculous fashion where lads wear their trousers halfway down their backsides.
In morning assembly the headmaster explained to them that the fashion was originally a signal for prison inmates in America to show that they were up for some man love.
The craze stopped overnight. I did lol.
Not sure if that's really how it originated but top marks to the head for stopping it.

Lol.
It's called sagging.
It did originate in prisons, but it was because they weren't allowed belts.
