Vagueness and the Aftermath - A sporadic diary

I'm taking Mrs Red out for Valentines day on the Monday cos everywhere will be packed Sunday, and they will have hoiked the prices up.

On Monday, it's BOGOF at The Mill On The Soar. (Our local eatery) Then, we're off to the pictures. ("One student, one OAP please")

I'll take my big coat, the one with the 1.5 cubic yard pockets, so that we can smuggle in several (at least 3) £££ worth of "Best before" pop and sweets from Wally's Warehouse.

I bet you're all thinking "He knows how to show a girl a good time."


Well, it's like I told her the first time we met, all those years ago..

"Stick with me sweetheart, you'll be fartin through silk."

I love this Tom, we gamble and poker for amounts that would make some people baulk but like you I get the face on at undue expense. The penultimate time we went to the cinema the mrs bought a vat of coke , some nachos and a pick n mix, it came to 10 quid. The last time we went she took a bottle of coke in her bag, a bag of Doritos and a bag of chocolate raisins in my long coat pockets.

When my kids go to the cinema I make them carry a wee bag each carrying drink and snacks.  They're at the age where they go with friends instead of us, so they're abso mortified carrying in their own gear.  I don't give a toss as they don't work so have no say in how the money is spent. 

On the other hand, I'm lucky if I go to the cinema twice in the year.  Something always comes up to scupper the plan.  So when I make the trip, the bill isn't cheap.

Yesterday we had a simultainiuos visit from 4 daughters, 2 son-in-laws, 6 grandchildren, 2 dogs & 4 puppies.
