Best of Luck for today

It's the same girl, 30 years later.
No it isn't, that is a current picture of daft Julie off Corrie, and your taste in women is becoming a cause for concern

Great effort yesterday, Tom. That's 2 from 2 in the last 2 £300's, yes?

So near, but so far, & a bit of a eye-watering exit.

Hey-ho.

Hey-ho.

I can't be disappointed though Tony, it was just such an amazing comp. The club was packed to the rafters. I've never seen an atmosphere like it, not even for an EPT. It was a privilege to take part.

When DTD first opened and I saw all those tiers of poker tables, I never would have imagined that one day they would have to squeeze extra ones into the bar area and every other bit of available space to accommodate the numbers.

I had a wonderful weekend. Ultimately, I was outdrawn on the FT bubble, but by the same token, my queens cracked someone's aces early in the comp so how can I grumble?

I got £1700 for my effort, but more than this I got an embarrassing number of texts, PMs, and people coming the rail to wish me luck. It was both surprising and humbling, and I thank them all sincerely.

A man's wealth has little to do with his money.

No no Tom, you've got it all wrong.

Final Table bubblers are supposed to whine & whinge, wish death upon Lederer, spit dummies out like kids in nappies, and rage "I hate poker".

You just don't get it, do you?

Jeez, defeat in dignity barely registers on folks radar these days.

Well done you, you are an inspiration to losers. If you get my drift.

I get your point Tony and I agree with you to an extent, personallly I'd like to think I take beats well but it's easy for me to do so when I gave and take about 50 a day and the money at stake is a lot less. However,I can understand why people would be a bit less dignified or emotionally effected by it for instance your in for $4k playing an online session online and are in makeup for 20k,you take a bad beat really deep and cash for 2k thus meaning you have a losing day instead of holding and having a great chance of a 6fig day which could be life changing.I'm not defending comments such as diagf which although obviously not meant literally is still not really neccessary just making the point of why people get carried away and it's understandable imo.

The thing I really hate is those who are on the other side of it and suckout and celebrate like mad,yes you could say it's because of the money also but this is where a little class should be shown and I watched the well spoke about JJ cracking AA for the guy who finished 15th in WSOP ME but Duhamel who got lucky didn't celebrate at all,I really liked that and I hoped he'd win for that reason alone.

It was good to chat with you at the weekend Tom and thanks for your comments. It was quite funny as after I busted late in the day I was pretty keen on having a few drinks and the people I was sitting with where playing credit card roulette so I obviously have to get involved,I then thought to myself, sigh Tom would be so disappointed Smiley Sorry Tom.

You want me to make an exception because someone has got themselves in a 20k make-up hole, & that excuses how they handle defeat & victory? Sorry Mondy, that don't wash with me.

It's how poker works, bad beats & suckouts, & once you've played the game for 5 minutes, they really ought to have worked that out, unless they are a bit lacking upstairs.

You ever read the "Sunday Thread" on blonde? Every time I see "the donk/twa t called me with shite, I hate poker" I want to puke. It's usually followed by "ha ha, I called with 7-2 & busted Aces". Whatever is the matter with them? They are not pros, so it's a recreation, & they throw all these ridic strops because they've taken a beat. And when they suck-out, of course, it's ok.....

Did you hear Carlo Ancelotto yesterday, after that oh-so-rare occasion, a Chelsea defeat? He must have been mortified, & yet he gave nothing but wholly genuine praise to both Torres, & Liverpool. Proper man, you see.

I'm afraid if peeps can't take a beat in poker without losing their composure or dignity, they'll get no sympathy from me.

I'm really disappointed that Mondy got himself involved in that. Surprised, too. Grind away day after day Online trying to nick a few bob, then go play a cock-wavers game? Mondy!

Oh dear.

What is credit card roulette?

It's basically the same as flipping for drinks, everyone who's involved gives one person there bank card he then chooses one person at a time to tell him when to stop while he's shuffling all the cards in his hand, the person then tells him a number between however many cards there is and whoever's card is choosen is safe. The last card left has to pay for the round. My card was first one out so at least I won something at DTD.It's more degen than balla though,I can't deny I'm a tad degen but not really looking to be "ballin' outta control"..

I don't do it for cock wavers reasons and tbh I'd say more than half the people involved it's not for that reason. For me I like to gamble within my means and a £60 round is just within my means,it's quite a buzz if you are down to the last couple and don't lose. For others I'd say it's peer pressure and maybe I'm also a tad guilty of that as well.

Have you ever heard that supposedly people that gamble actually subconciously enjoy losing and the pain that it brings. It's a strange concept but I believe it is true and I also believe I am like that.I used to,I say used to but tbh I'm still sometimes guilty of it have a problem with bandits and since I'm not stupid enough to not realise it's a terrible gamble it makes me think maybe that's why I keep playing them.I've always tried to claim I'm not addicted to gambling but I think I maybe fooling myself there.Sorry to derail your thread with my ramblings Tom.

You have a very fair point and I agree with most of what your saying,I guess I'm just saying I understand it then agree with it,tbh I've probably been guilty of it myself when steaming but would say it's very rare since I've been doing it as a "pro" lol at "pro" in my case btw.

Did you see the footage of Annette in the WSOP ME,it was cringeworhy and in similar vein to this and I thought it was really bad behaviour as a proper pro who's representing Tilt.
