I can remember every day of those trips as if they were yesterday. I still have the the AMA Plaques somewhere.

Jeez, that was 30 years ago. Where did my life go?

I'm much enamoured by the theory that your brain measures time by new or exciting experiences. that's why, as a child, a summer seems to last forever, but as we age, they seem to fly by.

That is an interesting alternative to my theory which is that time seems to ever-escalating in speed as it becomes a smaller portion of our lives.

When we are five years old a year is 20% of our total life and seems like ages but when we achieve tikay's age a year flies by as it is merely 1% of the total and seems 20x faster.

You may be right Ralph, but I believe you can slow time down by doing something new and exiting or scary.

You can also steady it up a bit by smiling regularly, and if you do something nice for someone when they don't expect it, time stops altogether for a few moments every time you remember it.

I can't see a link to it on there Vin, but I saw it on the news last night. Those poor parents must be going out of their minds.

Both you and I know what it's like to lose a child, but at least we know what happened to ours, and we know that they were surrounded by love right up to the end. This poor girl might be in the hands of a monster.

The pizza box thing is baffling btw

Agree with the pizza box thing, i also find it strange that this couple were madly in love, the boyfriend was away for the weekend, which is fine, he text her and called her but she didn't reply, but that's ok because that was normal??

I'm always very sceptical when they have weeping parents/partners doing press conferences. I hope i'm wrong.

Sometimes the needless aggro on blonde depresses me, everyone "tilted" at totally unimportant things, this & that.

And then I read a few lines like those above.

"doing something nice for someone"......"smiling".

You are blonde's reality check, Tom.

True. Smiling & being nice are so uncool. Do wise up, Tom.
