1. Confused. The robbery must have been inconsequentual, the ambush probably led to a murder hence life sentences
2. Is the release cost driven ?
3. She could still donate her kidney whilst in prison
4. "Championing the human rights of oppressed people around the word" not sure where that one is going

Saying that nothing in this world really surprises me any more.

Precisely.

Either they should be in prison, or they shouldn't. Irrespective of cost, or kidneys.

Hey Red Smiley

Just looked at that link and the most questionable point should surely be how they got such a harsh sentence in the first place.

How are you hunny?  Have a nice Christmas?

1; No it didn't lead to murder. This was due to it being "armed" robbery. There being a gun involved means you are screwed in the States. Obv the amount stolen is completely inconsequential.
2; Partly, yes. But there has been a lot of pressure from various human rights organisations. It's a bit of a weird one. Anyone who says "But they only stole $11" is obv. completely off their head to use that as an argument against the sentence.

Essentially they lead 2 guys into an ambush so the guys could get robbed by 3 other teens. The teens were caught and decided to cop a plea and rat out the two sisters.

The governor of the state gave an interview where he said something like 'growing up during the civil rights era in the 60s wasn't that bad', which didn't go down well from a white man in Mississippi, a state in which three civil rights workers were lynched.

Lo and behold, a few days later he's releasing these two girls from prison. Of course, one thing probably has nothing to do with the other...

Mrs Red says I look thinner.

I don't know about that, but I feel a mirrion spondooies. I've been doing a lot of walking and a bit of jogging, I'm not eating crap, and I'm getting my 5 a day. (I'm also eating some fruit and veg).

So if anyone out there knows of one...
