I'm just stunned by the artistry of these custom choppers.

How can people visualise something like this, and then make it a reality?

Yes. I just can't get past all that childishness and play acting though.

For choppers without the soap opera try to watch some episodes of The great biker build off.
Unfortunate ending to this episode.

I haven't seen that Dino. I'll give it a watch.

When we were kids we used to get knackered old scooters & mopeds out of the scrap and get them running.

Mind you, engines were easy to work on back then. You had a carburettor to deliver fuel, and a magneto to deliver a spark, and if you could get them both to meet up in the combustion chamber at roughly the same time, it would run.

Mechanics aside, the sheer aesthetic beauty of some of these bikes just blows me away.

I can't believe that the concept just comes out of thin air, and then, even more amazing, the concept becomes a reality.

As a custom to ride, rather than look at, my preference would be for the brutal looking simplicity of Russell Mitchells bikes.

Oh if I was choosing a bike to ride rather than look at, I would go for something entirely practical, quiet and comfortable.

Something with full fairing and a nice upright seating position, so that I could spend hours every day cruising across the warmer states of America.

I've long harboured a hankering to do a long haul sightseeing tour.

I'd love to do a month or two in the States, or somewhere in Asia. Mrs Red & I did a mini version last year, just a few weeks around Europe in the back of my van but it was fabulous.

In my wildest dreams, I'd like to do a 3 year long trans-globe expedition.

As a teenager, when you could get 3 gallons of fuel for a quid,I visited most of England and and Wales on an old BSA Goldstar,no fairings, temperamental engine, I must have been mad.
