I've been watching The Young Apprentice on BBC1.

I'm not really much into this type of cannon fodder TV, but a have to grudgingly admit, it is rather splendid viewing.

That girl who got sacked last night. She brought it on herself. Fancy taking two strong candidates like those back into the boardroom?

Do you find this lad as irritating as I do?



And who do you think he looks like? Bridie says Beethoven, I say Gordon Brown.

Yes, beyond tilting. Only watched the first ep, cba with it. I haven't even got round to watching Attenborough yet,  which is a must, too busy grinding Breaking Bad at the minute.

Is that number over 33 million gallons? If so then they couldn't afford to cross the Atlantic, even if their diesel was 25p a gallon.

According to qe2.org  at 28 knots it uses 380 tons of diesel a day,thats 50ft a gallon.
I carries enough fuel for 12 days,so approx 4500 tons.
At about 7lb a gallon thats around 1,250.000 gallons.
All conversions open to debate due to my brain being rusty.

That sounds better, but still bloody expensive to run if the price of diesel is anything like comparable to the cost of TVO, heating oil etc.

I lost 3st but I've put a stone back on and I can't stop eating long enough to shift it.

The weight loss has been great. I made 14st  on my birthday (just), which too was a 3st loss, and have now settled at 14st 3lbs, which I am delighted with and hope to maintain. I did have an all inclusive holiday invloving 4 meals a day and pretty much no excercise, but was quite disciplined to shed the pounadage when I got home. I have set myslef a monthly "boundary" to saty within  in an attempt not to "bounce" back to what I was.

Adding muscle is proving much more difficult than shedding the weight.

I like the idea of setting a monthly boundary. I might do that if I get back to where I want to be.

I'm only just now beginning to realise how bad I am at maths.

I always used to think I was good at it because I could reckon money up pretty quickly, but when I come to think about it for most of my life that has only meant handling sums totalling a few hundred.

All this malarkey might as well be written in Klingon for all the use it is to me.

The 'purer' you go in maths the less numbers you use, that was the type of Maths I studied for my degree - it's about as much use as Klingon in general.
