I mean, what did Jesus have for his Christmas dinner?

He was probably celebrating the Jewish festival of Chanuka so that would mean chopped liver, chicken soup with matzah-balls, followed by salt-beef and latkes.

Ralph!

Good to hear from you.

I was thinking about you the other day and I decided that you represent all that is good about football supporters. I'm going to ditch Wednesday and adopt Arsenal as my team in honour of you.

PS- Salt beef sounds great. What are latkes?

PPS- I love salt, do you think it's really harmful?

In which case, it's time you joined the Twitter revolution, Ralph is incredibly witty on Twitter with his observations.

There is a great skill with Twitter, making tweets readable & funny within a character constraint of 140, & it's a great writing discipline to keep below 140, & Ralph does it superbly.

I heard someone say recently that the internet is written in pen, not pencil, which I thought was a good analogy, but with Twitter, it's sort of pencil, as Tweets sort of disappear within minutes. Give it a whirl.

Salt bad for us? Pfft, everything is supposed to be bad for us. Ignore that nonsense & be like me, moderation in all things.

Arsene and I are delighted to welcome you to the Arsenal Supporters Club.

I find this guy does the best Arsenal blog out there www.arseblog.com

Latkes are fried potato pancakes and absolutely delicious when made properly, crunchy on the outside and a bit chewy inside.

I love salt too and my Dad absolutely adored the stuff. He used to go to the golf club in the afternoons and would often retire to the dining room and order a plate of chips. He used to put so much salt on that it became a bit of a spectator-sport for people at adjoining tables who were amazed at the length of time he would hold the saltcellar upside down before consuming them.

The salt finally took it's toll just before his 93rd birthday.

Imagine another 30 years for you Ralph, or another 29 for Tony....

I love how you just dispense this advice without a shred of knowledge on the subject.

Have you no conscience? What If I were to have a connery?

It's a good job I know your daft.

It fascinates me to think about airport vehicles. Trucks, vans, 4WD's, coaches etc.  spending their entire working lives driving around the same few hundred yards of tarmac.

That reminds me, I saw this damage on a railway bridge the other day. It wasn't in place where something passing underneath could hit it so I concluded it mist be either vibration or frost damage.

I'm going for frost.
