Currently reading "Dear Fatty" by Dawn French, (I know I know!) and I've just found out what the difference between a memoir and an autobiography is.

A positive item on Gypsies in the Mail. Surely a first. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/debate/article-2061147/Remembrance-Sunday-2011-A-pride-grows-greater.html'It's an edited version of what I said. What I actually said was more along the lines of, "We are here to acknowledge all those who fought because without them, some of us wouldn't have been born, and those that had would not have survived because what was happening in Europe to Gypsies was planned for us....." The quote 'Romany and non-Romany: fought together, died together, remembered together' was the wording I put on the wreath.'Janet Keet-Black

Did anyone receive a £50 off a Blackberry promotional code from Voda that they don't intend to use?

They would have been easier to find if the were. you have to load the table up and go through the initial regestration process before they are revealed. Have to say though, customer service was fantastic. I got an email and a phone call explaining it within 24 hours.

They must have gone to the British Gas school of customer service speed and efficiency.

Right on the back of 'The Incredible Human Journey' and 'The Origins Of Us' Dr Alice Roberts (I would) comes up with another corking documentary. 'Are We Still Evolving?'
Did anyone watch it last night? It's Must See TV IMO.
Dr Alice is like the new Sir David Attenborough but she does people instead of animals.
Sir David BTW- I love him, but I wouldn't.
Does this post make any sense? I think I was overcome with enthusiasm.

Course it makes sense - she's a real professor, wears dirty clothes and is gorgeous (with breasts). Incred combo

Is it just me, or does anyone else here remember when petrol tanks were just oblong steel boxes with a short spout and a twist off lid?
There was no fancy locking mechanism or anything back then. There was nothing in there worth stealing .
If you wanted to know how much fuel you had left, you just took the cap off and peered inside, sometimes giving the bottom of the tank a kick or rocking the vehicle to create ripples and make it easier to see.
A friend of mine tried this at dusk, he couldn't quite see the fuel level, so he struck a match.....
His hair grew back reasonably quickly, but his eyebrows took several months. He also developed a facial tic, a bit like the one Herbert Lom had in the Pink Panther Movies.
The tic has long gone, but the nickname 'Striker' remains with him to this day.
