Oh that's terrific deno.
See that little black line down the middle of his beak? When that disappears, he will be in breeding condition.
If he were a show-bird, he would have points deducted because the 'buttons' on his waistcoat are uneven.

Is it a special feeder Dino? I can't see how it works. Does it have holes, or does it decant the seed into a trough?

What a good picture that is. Handheld? If Tikay is reading, this is why you need a decent SLR if you are serious about photography.

But Dave, there is no way Tony is going to be studying photographic theory, changing lenses, setting apertures, shutter speeds, ISO, manual focus etc.
If he wants to do more than point the camera and press the button, I will gladly withdraw my protest.

About a week ago I heard a bang on the front window and went to investigate. I was amazed to see a sparrow hawk sat stunned underneath the window. A few days later my wife saw one on our fence in the back garden then today we saw one with its kill on the path not 100 yards from the house. What are the chances that it is the same bird?
