Glad i took your advice and purchased a Bridge super zoom Red. Those pesky birds wont be evading me for much longer! Here is my first snap which was taken from my bedroom window of a Starling!?? it was over 100 foot away and i still had bundles of zoom left. Looking forward to seeing what else i get from popping my head out of the window.

Also was surprised to see how much colour they had on their feathers. I just assumed they were all brown.

Thin I've got a big garden brag Smiley

Sigh, it was on the neighbours fence.

Lol what 4 doors up. Brilliant to see good use of the camera. I really should get a camera because we have some lovely birds in our garden. Think these are 3 of about a dozen red legged partridges that only come here a couple of weeks a year.

Great start Milly.

Don't over do it with that zoom. 42X will take some stabilising.

I know you enjoy a good cup of tea Tom and I've been drinking this Yorkshire Gold "Season's Choice" Assam lately and it's been very nice, slightly better than the regular Yorkshire Gold stuff imo. When I went to the supermarket today the same tea was "season's Choice" but instead of Assam it was Rwandan which is apparently now in peak season and I've never even heard of Rwandan tea let alone drunk a cup so I obviously snap bought a packet.

It's absolutely gorgeous and I suggest you seek some out immediately.

GFY

No offence intended.

PS I'll bring you a couple of tea-bags next week for you to try before you apologise for doubting me.

So on the penultimate hand of level 14 of the hunno k GTD, I lost all my chips.

Well I didn't lose them all, I had 2 bb left, which I shoved with and won. I now have 5bb

Now I'm not asking if I should bother going back cause I've already decided. (I'm an optimist, anything could happen).

What I am asking is, is an 80m round trip for 5bb on day 2 a £100,000 GTD event -EV?

Not if you cycle, no need to thank me.

Urgh!! What a horrible situation. Did you actually want to lose that last hand so that you could re-enter today?

As for it being -EV well I'm going to guess that it isn't. I know you're miles behind but your chips still have a value and it must be more than the cost of fuel to get you to DTD and back.

To work it out:

There were 317 entries yesterday each getting 15000 chips so 4755000 chips in play.

Each entrant paid £150 so a total prize pool of £47550

That means that each chip is worth 1p

I know you have 5bbs but don't know the blind levels? How many actual chips do you have?

Just checked on DTD. You have 11900 chips so they're actually worth £119.

Get yourself down there.

Other factors:

By turning up you give yourself a chance to increase their value to a worthwhile (20bb) stack maybe 10% of the time. Once you've increased them to 20bb their value will be £480 at current prices so that's £48 you get by turning up.

If your cost to turn up is less than £48 then it's definitely worth it.

By not turning up you always turn their value in to 0 at a cost of £119
