Don't bother looking for it Tom. You won't like it.

Actually on second thoughts look for it and prove me wrong. You never know.

I hated The League of Gentlemen with a passion. I couldn't bring myself to watch it. Ditto Little Britain.

Very wise of you Tom, it's pap. That is why I have never watched it.

Some of these so-called comediens seem to think that stupid, outrageous or profane = funny.

Unfortunately, they seem capable of convincing a decent % of the population to go along with it.

Surely if it makes a decent % of the population laugh uncontrollably it's funny? I don't see what's unfortunate about that?

If I watch something which doesn't make me laugh then it isn't funny. No amount of convincing will make me laugh.

I think it's more likely that you can convince someone that something isn't funny rather than convince them it is.

That appears to be what's happened to Tikay in this situation. I'm sure that if he sat down to watch it he'd already have it fixed in his head that it was mindless pap so wouldn't even give it a chance and wouldn't laugh.

If Tikay's friends tell him that something is 'pap' then he'll go along with it and won't laugh whatever happens. If they tell him it's brilliant I think that's a much more difficult opinion to instill in to someone. No matter how great you tell someone that something is if they don't genuinely find it funny they won't laugh.

It's unfortunate that a decent % of the population are too narrow minded to appreciate this incredible comedy for the genius that it truly is Wink

It's unfortunate that a decent % of the population are too narrow minded to accept that some people don't find The League of Gentlemen funny without labelling them as narrow minded.  Wink Wink

The League of Gentlemen is one of my favourite comedies of all time.

Totally sick humour that I absolutely love.

Papa Lazaroo is pure comedy genius. Next level stuff without doubt but understandably hated by people such as Tom and Tikay.

If you hate the league of gentlemen I'd suggest you try The Mighty Boosh to be equally unimpressed.

The league of gentlemen is one of the funniest (dark) comedy series I've ever seen. It got better series by series IMO. "You're my wife now"

The mighty boosh, I didn't like.

Incidently Steptoe and Son and Rising Damp are up there with The league of Gentlemen as my faves.

For dark comedy going back about ten years please watch Night Night

Did you use an authentic tagine?

Don't fret. Matt is one of those rare people that you can have fun arguing with.

Don't fret. Matt is one of those rare people that you can have fun arguing with.

Lot's of unfortunate narrow mindedness going on ITT Wink Wink Wink

Does narrow minded need to be hyphenated by the way or is it optional?

Yes Tom Kalamata olives. We have two tagines, different sizes. I used the small ones today as I cooked for just me and Joo while she was at the Stoke v Wolves game. Spot the "there's something not quite right with that last sentence"

Meh! I'm broad-minded enough to accept either.

Tasty and no real thinking required. Not with my brain anyway.

I spotted it fairly quickly, but I'll keep my council.

BTW- You and Joo are one of the best couples I know. You were made for each other and it shines out like a beacon every time I see you together.
