My guess is matter transportation. Just as we can now send a photograph or a voice to the other side of town or the other side of the  world in a fraction of a second, so we will be able to transport solid objects, even people.

The thing about the science fiction "beam me up scotty ffs" machine is that it is actally just creating a copy of the person and destroying the original.

I presume you're topping up with antifreeze ?

Is the footwell damp at all ? Heater matrix if so.

Head gasket prolly favourite, though worst case you could have a hairline crack in the head if its been frozen.

That is just the way he parts his hair.

Just caught up with unread replies  Roll Eyes

What a shame you can't pass on kindle books for someone else to read.

It's not as though it's stealing or anything. I mean after all, you can do it with real books.

Just FYI

Jan 27th is Holocaust Memorial Day.

Until quite recently, the fate of the Gypsy people during the Holocaust was not acknowledged.

Gypsy victims were never compensated for the atrocities committed against them.

The attempted genocide of the entire Gypsy people was forgotten. No-one from the Gypsy community was called to give evidence at the Nuremburg trials,  The perpetrators (Himmler, Justin, Mengele). were never brought to trial.

Thankfully, things are changing now, and I am invited to represent the Gypsy people at more memorial events than I can manage to attend.

Yesterday I went to Chesterfield to hear Iby Knill speak. She is the second holocaust survivor I've met, the other was Kitty Hart-Moxon. Although their stories are horrifying, their vitality and enthusiasm for life is truly inspirational.

There will be a memorial event somewhere near you in the next few days. If you get time, perhaps you might like to go along.

Are the memorial days for everyone that died, or is there days for each race etc? Does that make sense?

No they are for everyone that died in all genocides past and present.

Did you know for instance that the Sikhs have suffered 6 Holocausts, the most recent being in 1984.

The figures in central Africa show that the world hasn't learned from its past mistakes.

I knew of Holocaust Memorial day, I think that I learned about it on from your diary before Christmas and put it on my desktop sticky. However I knew nothing if the Sikh persecussion. I can't believe with the TV and media at our disposal that it was kept so quiet during the eighties and nineties. Why are those responsible not brought to trial like the Nazis and later the Bosnian perpitrators.
