I need about 2ft of 8mm copper pipe, they sell it in 25 metre rolls.

I think Dan's mentioned it on the forum in the past, but his mum works as a dog trainer for TV, film and theatr. He recognised two of his 'babies' from the ad so must be one his mum worked on.

Dan helps out on jobs sometimes.  His hands made an appearance on Channel 4 on xmas day last year (he is the boy dog)

You'll be relieved to hear that I didn't end up having to buy a 25 metre roll of 8mm copper pipe.

No, I managed to waylay a wandering heating engineer and persuade him to part with a yard or so. It cost me a fiver and a dollop of soft soap, but he threw in a compression joint, or 'coupling' as we in the trade call them, so we were both happy.
