The big flash ones are amazing.  Not my cup of tea though.

hmmmmmmmm, im torn! I could imagine they can be fun for 1 week!

But, I was amazed how in reality  there was little difference between their base level of spec, and the quality that you produced. Made me appreciate your efforts even more

Don't get me wrong Guy, they are gorgeous, but the thought of leaving it idle for 45 weeks per year would do my head in.

Also, with a vehicle like that you need to be on a camp-site, I like to be able to drive and park up virtually anywhere anonymously. I realise that I have to sacrifice a lot of comfort, but for me that's part of the fun.

Yes, I think to justify the big ones (ownership wise) you pretty much have to live in it. Several of the ones being built/refurbed were for sports car teams and the like.

And please note, that the only reason I posted these was to be hugely complimentary about your van and efforts!

Lol. No need to point that out Guy, I got it, but I was making a rare attempt at modesty.  Tongue

Don't make me change your pigeon-hole again....

Are these the campest fabrications you've ever made, Tom?

I love what you've done in creating your camper Tom, and for festival purposes I'd rather have yours but part of me would rather like to park this outside DTD for the weekend to avoid hotel costs

I saw the McCready rambler irl last weekend. Fine specimen of a vehicle. Red even had time to knock himself up some steak and eggs in the break. WAL. Sick craftsmanship skills.

Meh!

I bet it won't fit under the barrier at Tesco's.

I'd imagine the delivery truck from Fortnum & Masons would negate
Tesco's barrier height worries, should you be wealthy enough to own one.

Story on the Guardian website today about the high rate of suicides among the Gypsy/Traveller community.

The comments below the article are already shaping up to be a dark old place, and this is The Guardian, not the Daily Mail.

It's a great article Andrew, and the comments are very telling.

A few weeks ago I told you about a wild rabbit that has adopted us. He's very bold and comes out to feed way before dusk. The dogs chase him half heartedly, and he skips away. I don't think they know what to make of a rabbit that doesn't cack itself in terror when they appear.

Well now we have a new edition, a tiny little bunny who has no fear of us at all. Day or night he sits boldly on the lawn, mere feet away from us, feeding contentedly.

The dogs won't go near him. I think that because he's so unfazed by everything, they assume he's a new family pet and therefore off limits to them.

I'm worried that he will think he can trust everyone the way he trust us, and I'm tempted to frighten the bejesus out of him just to teach him that humans are dangerous.

He really makes my day though, we're so lucky to live here.

I took this pic of him just now, it was on my phone so he looks distant, but he's actually only a couple of strides away.

Hi RED DOG, hope your well Smiley

Today I went to Southampton with my cousin to see a puppy he wanted. She was really cute, we are picking her up next week Smiley

Hi Dreenie.

I can't see the picture from that link. What kind of puppy is it?

Is it really cute or are you just saying that because it's a little fluffy baby with big eyes and floppy ears?  Smiley

Hi Red dog, sorry, I been away at a friends for the week, so haven't been on the laptop. It's a girl puppy and yes she's really cute, Mel has named her 'Lou Lou' after her sister who tragically died in a car crash.

Here is the cutie pie Smiley :
