I knew that. Was just trying to be nice. Proper lolpro, you.
I ummed & arred as to coming up to Luton, & to DTD, but swerved everything in the end for an evening of blissful solitude.

I don't know what surprises me most, the fact that this problem exists, or that they can fix it with software.

Hi Tom,
I started the 100 Happy Days challenge a few weeks ago, and was I was putting my first compilation together I thought 'this is the sort of thing Red Dog would like', so thought I'd share

I am interested Claire, I'll have a proper look when I get home.
I have to confess though, by and large, if I wake up, I'm happy.

Spent the night in the Fiat hotel in Sarfend.
Had a lovely stroll down the sea front at 8am this morning. Loads of nice cafés offering all day full English breakfast, the trouble is, all day starts at 11am here.

I thought the Fiat Hotel served breakfast too.

It does, but the chef had buggered off down the sea front.

I had a look at the site and the challenge does look like fun, but they require you to sign up and I have a bee in my bonnet about that.
As far as being happy goes, I've always been a 'count your blessings' kind of bloke, but with a bit of a tendency to worry about things, and sometimes I'm prone to the odd bout of mild depression.
My outlook on life changed a lot when my dad died. It really brought it home to me that there is very little worth worrying about. We're here for a short time but for the individual, that's all the time there is or ever will be, so why not be happy?
I suppose that the really big thing for me was realising that being happy is a conscious decision. Unless something is seriously wrong, just decide to be happy, and you are. Decide to enjoy everything, and you will.
I had to clear a blocked septic tank the other day. Not easy to enjoy you might think. You would be wrong.

Tom, if you get time, visit Southend Pier, get the train, or even walk, to the end, they do a lovely cheese toastie & tea, & have a nice RNLI Museum, too.
Well worth it.

I've just been looking at the pier. It must be half a mile long.
