If you were to order scampi & chips, how many of each would you expect to get?

6/8 scampis and 20/25 chips.

Did you know that scampis are actually langustine which are caught off the West coast of Scotland and the ones that are processed are usually frozen and shipped by ferry to Rotterdam.

From Rotterdam they are air-freighted to Thailand where they are shelled and packed, afterwards they are air-freighted back to Europe and lots of them are sold as Young's Scampi in packets found in most supermarkets.

They might get away with 6/8 scampi in those fancy places your used to frequenting down sarf, but if they tried it in Yorkshire they would like as not cop an unfortunate clog.

Finished for the day. Only lost ~ 10 chips per level so that's pretty good.

I ordered it because I've had it in a couple of other Gentings casinos and it's a always been big plate of chips with positively unstable amount of scampi balanced on top. This time the chips were in one of those little bowls that they put on your plate, (WTF is that about anyway?) and the scampi were sitting off to one side, alone and isolated on a vast expanse of white porcelain, like a little rash on a posh bird's bum.

You clearly don't understand the seriousness of the situation, which is not surprising since your feast or famine eating regime is restricted to cod loins and beetroot on the one hand, or sticky buns, latte and Rennies on the other.

At 7am on Monday, I will switch from famine mode to feast mode.

It's sort of like BST, when the clocks go forward or back, it happens every year.
