That's it. Kick a man when he's down.

They did the theme tune to True Detective didn't they?
The bloke sounds like a cross between Johnny Cash, George Jones and Merle Haggard.
Great melodies, great lyrics, needs a rhyming dictionary though.

I bumped into Trevor Pearson in Stoke yesterday and I can confirm that coming into money hasn't changed him. He's still a miserable old bastard.
Which leads me to the conclusion that he's either A, always had money, or B, he's just naturally a miserable old bastard.
I'm going for both.

Good to see this weekend Tom, my you're looking well. I bust shortly after you, surprised I lasted so long. Got my chips in as a shortie twice bad and won, once good and won then AK v 10 10 exit. Only the second one of these I've played this year and agree great comp.

I was researching the scampi numbers issue on Wikipedia when I came across this image.
British scampi and chips.
Perhaps I'd better be quiet. They might decide they gave me four too many.

A, Lolz, i would term my position as comfortable, due to hard work, stress, worry, and knowing some knowledgable folk.
B, I have a different slant on showing joy (never look happy or someone might ask you for something)
Nice to see you Saturday by the way

So Tony has fecked off to Vegas to gorge himself into a stupor on fags, bear claws, frothy coffees and PLO8. Meanwhile, muggins here has to spend the bank holiday doing paperwork. (yuk).
As if that's not bad enough, next Sunday I have to miss all the great pokerz because I have agreed to do some blathering at the V&A museum in London. Then, the Sunday after that I have once again been chosen to organise the maggot racing at the village fete. "you have to do it Tom, your so good with animals".
The maggot racing participants usually consist of groups of small boys, who more often than not manage to knobble their own maggots by squeezing them too hard whilst placing them on the track, or groups of teenage girls who have a squealing fit and throw their maggot up in the air to be lost forever in the loss grass, or in a passer-by's beefburger and chips.
To make matters worse, the maggot racing usually raises about £6 but costs about £10 in prizes.
Also, what do you do with a pint of maggots once their racing career is over?
Answers on a postcard please....
