They make a fantastic noise on a 250cc motorbike as well.

Plus you can't possibly beat the smell of Castrol on a sunny Sunday morning!!

Yes, that distinctive blue haze....

They're ideal for small engine / high output applications. They produce less heat than 4 strokes too, so they are almost always air cooled. No need for bulky water jackets and radiators.

And with what I think is the first race comes this year's first fatality.

Anyone can fit a new timing belt on a Vauxhall combo 1.3 cdti.

If they can't, they're not trying hard enough.

But can you do it 10 months out of 12?

Well obviously your average man in the street couldn't do it for 10 months out of 12. I was talking about professional mechanics who fit like, 6 timing belts a day.

I thought the 1.3 cdti used a chain not a belt for timing.

Incredible pictures. I found the ones of the empty, innocuous beaches particularly moving.

Something has been nagging me at the back of my mind since last week's "Scampigate" episode, and I've suddenly realised what it is.

I'm sure you told me that you didn't like prawns.
