Just the first step to cleaner domestic heating. Give it a few years and new gas boilers will be outlawed then slowly phased out completely. Won't be long before everyone has an air source heat pump bolted to the side of their house. They'll look delightful..... |

I'll be useless soon at this rate. Good job I got old when I did really. Fifteen years from now walking through a city centre could feel the same on your lungs as walking through the countryside. It's hard to imagine because the city 'smell' seems normal but without the cars and heaters pumping out noxious fumes how else could it be? McDonalds maybe?? |

As a kid growing up in Sheffield the air was so bad you couldn't breath it unless you filtered it through a fag.

Cast iron offer of a solid cuppa if you're ever in the vicinity, could run to a sandwich too :-)

As someone who went to school in Bassett and college in Swindon my life has followed magic roundabouts.
The Swindon one is much tougher to negotiate when you hit it for the first time, mind you I was 17 on a moped so that might be a factor
