Tony (Tats, I'll have to call you Tatty from now on to save confusion)

Have a look at the Plummer terriers in this old documentary and tell me yours isn't related.

If you need any help uploading photos, I'm always here for you.

Are you familiar with a dog breed called "miniature pincer"?

Genuinely interested.

I was discussing one this morning with Gill, she sent me a photo & told e it was a miniature pincer, which I'd never heard of. She seemed very fond of it, said it was a lovely little dog. It belonged to a friend of here, but sadly passed away yesterday.

And it got me thinking.

Very inappropriate choice for most people IMO.

Let me direct you to this very accurate wiki piece.

Miniature Pinschers are for experienced dog owners. Many people underestimate the care, time, and effort needed in order to raise a Miniature Pinscher. The Miniature Pinscher is an assertive, outgoing, active, and independent breed.[11] Miniature pinschers are energetic and need a fenced yard to run in; they make great agility dogs. They are great escape artists and some recommend having a kennel with a lid on it for them to run around in.[11] They are good watchdogs, as they are alert and wary of strangers.[5][14] It is recommended that adults and teenagers, rather than young children, play with a Miniature Pinscher as younger children play rough.[15] Miniature Pinschers are a stubborn breed when it comes to training, but once trained they will obey commands well.

And before you start arguing that the one that Gill knew was wonderful, I don't doubt it. But exceptions prove the rule.

If & when I go down the dog road, I'll be delegating the entire process to my Dog Consultant.

Was going to upload a few  pics of Tony's Jack Russell but I'd better wait for the go ahead first.

Cracking little dog though.

No problem Tom please do so

So she’s at ours and is settling in ,we mainly use the side gate onto a tarmac apron in front of a double garage  then have 4-5 houses around us
2 of which have cats ,as soon as she comes out with me she sees one and is off after it in a flash it runs under a parked car ,undeterred she somehow crouches low and is under it almost as fast as the cat ,which escapes up a fence
She returns quite pleased with herself ,Denise is worried what will happen if she catches it ?
Next day she spies our other neighbours cat she goes after it ,but this one doesn’t move this time
It stands it’s ground arches it’s back and emits a lot of hissing ,almost comically our dogs brakes go on and she skids to a halt feet from the cat
I call her and she trots back wagging her stump
So I explained to Denise that if they run she will give chase
Clover now has a bit of oil and dirt on her plus 2 small chunks of flesh torn out of her back from the under the car belly crawl
Which doesn’t seem to bother her in the slightest !
So she seems pretty tough and determined
She goes into savage nutter mode when she catches sight of herself in the oven door - which we have to drape a tea towel over and a full length mirror on a cupboard in the study . This has stopped after a week or so as she’s realised it’s herself she’s getting all aggro with ? I think

As we use the side gate quite a bit I worry that she will go into full on attack mode with any passing dogs but she doesn’t she’s quite sociable

Denise booked her into pets at home for a groom n nail clip etc on Friday ,but on Tuesday we noticed she’s in season ,as it wasn’t too heavy Denise still took her ,which caused all the other males in there to start howling 😂😂😂

She’s with a young lady who boards dogs atm as we are away and shes getting on with the other dogs Kirsten walks which is nice as we like our holidays ,and it gives clover time with other dogs which seems to be all she misses

Strange guy indeed Ralph. He's the bloke who's ferret bit Richard 'twice nightly' Whiteley's finger.
