BTW- Her head looks big in that pic, but if you look closely you will see that she is carrying 4 or 5 inches of beard.

Sounds like my ex.

I've heard a few "shaggy dog" stories in my time but they don't even come close to this "shaggy horse" fable..

Gig racing (Do you mean harness racing, with a sulky?) is completely different. Gypsies race half bred or three quarter bred trotting horses and their price is governed by ability only.

Aye - there's a section of the old A74 which was left after they built the new M74 & now and again there'll be a big crowd while they have harness sprints (the section left is only 1 mile long).

Great pics Tom, Some of my family have a static near the coast that looks very similar to your new home.

I left Henry’s mare and her foal in the little paddock for a week or so, just to make sure that everything was ok. Then I turned them out into the pasture I was sharing with Jimmy.

Tom, were you never worried that, given it's value, & the general interest in the foal from the Gypsy Community, that it may get stolen?

Is horse-stealing something that happens with "Gypsy horses", are they at risk from theft by other Gypsies, or by Gorgers? I mean, an open paddock is hardly high security.

Horse stealing has never been much of a problem. Gypsy horses would have no special value to Gorgers, and a stolen Gypsy horse would be worse than useless to  a Gypsy. What on earth would he do with it?

Tom,

Can you please explain how the "UNDO" button Function on "Word" works please?

For the uniniatiated, Tom just completed the end of the Horse Story, & had it beautifully crafted & honed to perfection, & pressed the wrong button, & accidentally erased the lot.

Luckily, Mrs Red told him about the "Undo" function.

Unluckily, it was after he's pressed 27 buttons attempting to retrieve it.....

Tom is now running round his field, screaming, with KIzzy in tow.

Mrs Red is giving him no sympathy, in fact, is laughing her socks off. "Told you, Tom" she's saying.....

And I thought I  was having a bad day.

You save your word documents as you go along, that way you can only lose the last small piece you've written at any time.

Save the document, and then set it to auto-save every 5 minutes if you can't trust yourself to remember.
