sigh..there's just no arguing with old, cranky and stubborn people. Bless ya, Mr Red...you really make my day sometimes.
I profusely apologise for ever stating that the Sky+ box does not make any noise..I am quite clearly mistaken...that damned Mr Murdoch is quite clearly out to drive you nuts
Seriously though, I still can't hear the noise my Sky+ box makes..but it might just be that the sound of MrsB laughing at me while I am laying on the floor trying to hear any sounds from the Sky+ box drowns it out...I am surprised Mrs Red isn't doing the same
Perhaps we were both right....

Mrs Red, the girls and I went out for a meal yesterday. Bridie had a lamb shank with mashed potatoes and mint gravy.
When it arrived, it was enormous. Bridie did her best but there was still plenty of meat on it when she had finished so I asked for the remains to be put into a doggy bag.
Because of the way the law is now, most butchers can't do their own butchering, so it's almost impossible to get good bones for Kizzy. I suspected that she would be thrilled with this one, and she was.
If you ever get the chance, spend an hour watching a dog with a bone. Theres something mesmerising in the way they contort themselves trying to extract the meat. (Perhaps that just applies to me)
After a good hour of doggy heaven, Kizzy decided that she would stash her treasure, to be exhumed at a later date. By which time it would have been rendered even more toothsome by the machinations of several billion bacteria.
The problem was, that the knuckle part of the bone had become detached from the shaft. For all practical purposes, she now had two bones.
She went behind a conifer and dug a hole, into which she dropped one of the bones. She then covered it over. When she noticed that she still had a bone above ground, she opened the hole again, and in doing so removed the first bone. This she replaced with the second bone, and covered it over.
As she went to walk away, she noticed that the first bone was now above ground again, and so the whole process was repeated.
Five times she opened that hole, with, I might add, no obvious signs of frustration. Eventually, both bones ended up in the hole at the same time, and she walked away contented.
Whether they ended up in the same hole by accident or she had solved the problem I can't honestly tell you, but I'm going to give her two bones the next time, just to see what happens.

Dogs have the same mental process as me , one problem at a time please.
Problem: need to bury bone
Solution: dig hole and bury bone
Problem: Have a another bone that needs burying
Solution: dig a hole (hmm easy option reopen old one) bury bone.
Problem: Already a bone in the hole
Solution: Remove bone, bury bone and fill.
Problem: Need to bury other bone……
Solution: Rinse and repeat for a while
Problem: Still have a frigging bone to bury. However I’m knackered
Solution: Master has been watching all this so I will now put the two bones in the same hole… genius
Problem: Now where the hell did I bury those bones
Solution: Master loved my antics so much he’s gone and got another bone – result, I so own him….

Settle an argument. Identify this woodland flower. (ignore the remote, it's just there for scale)

Is that a really big remote control, or is it standard size?

Forget-me-not
Well, that's from Google Images rather then personal knowledge
Edit: Beaten to it. Ho hum.

Not hugely different though. There will be a slight variation from plant to plant & area to area. Have confidence in yourself!!
