We've got a new shop. It's called 'Tesco Express Hinckley Environment store'
From the Tesco website..
Key features of the store include:
• A sustainable timber frame
• Five micro wind turbines and solar cells to help power the store
• A significant increase in the use of recycled, recyclable or sustainable materials in construction
• Rainwater harvesting – water collected from the roof and re-used in store will amount to around 1 million litres a year
• Energy-efficient refrigeration and bakery ovens
• Water-cooled refrigeration and cold-air retrieval systems instead of air conditioning units
Triffic innit?
Do they still sell food that's been shipped from New Zealand, Argentina and the like?
I know I@m going to regret this... Why?
Because flying stuff halfway round the world is not the environment's friend.
What option do we have, go there and eat it?
Local food sounds like a better option than Apples flown in from Chilli if you want to be environmentally friendly, no?
Not bothered about apples from Chili, but she does have a decent pear..

"why?" would be the obvious question, me thinks.

I met this little white boxer puppy the other day, I was quite taken by his placid temperament.
Trick Question: What do you call a little white boxer puppy?

Ragwart is deadly poison to horses. One bite and they are dead before they can swallow. Next month it will go to seed, better to pull it now.

Correct.
Most white boxers are deaf.

Great the story Red, loved how you asked for the 10 bob note, it reminded me when I was a lad my uncle used to give me a hand full of change when he came to visit, one day I asked for a note, never gave me a penny again... 'that'll learn you'
PS
Not that you are hear to entertain the likes of me but I have a request - can we have a story including a dog next please!
