Great story Tom, it reminds me of when I was about nine or ten years old and we were living in Sheffield and somehow I had obtained a copy of "All Shook Up" on an old 45, probably via my Uncle Eric who lived in the US, which I played over and over again on my little portable record player in my room until I knew it off by heart although I hadn't really got a clue what the words meant. Lips like a vulcano when it's hot etc.

I'll give you a rendition sometime if you don't behave yourself....

Great story Red. Ah the old 8 track, I remember them but by the time I could afford to run a car the cassettes were the choice.

Tom when in Vegas going here is a must for an Elvis fan.

I want to go to Vegas the same time as Red just to follow him around. He seems to have so much happen to him it would be like having a new adventure every day.

Listen, when you get to my age, just having a young vital thing like you posting in my diary is an adventure.

I saw two interesting things while out walking today.

First, a beautiful teazel plant. I used to love to find teazel, it's the bird catchers friend.

Second, a big bag full of discarded dolls hidden way off the beaten track in some undergrowth.

It was quite eerie really, like a mass murder in Toytown

The Muderer must be MissPurplePollyBunHead as she is trying to destroy the evidence by wipeing off her finger prints.

OMG Tom, I  was an egg picker on weekends when that was out and had a massive pair of earphones thatreceived radio transmission only, bloody massive things they were. Whenever Darts came on I picked 3x as fast and sung my heart out.
