Three nights, you will be fine but not the duration. Years back Plazza was buzzing, everyone who could play was there. Filming every day,  Sat's to the bigger games, couldn't fault it one bit. Atmosphere was second to none. Last year you was lucky if you goit a STT. Binions was a crap shoot, possibly the only ones worth a go at was at Golden Nuggett but the cash games there were so much controlled by the Locals, they got away with murder. I think I posted an awful occurance on here somewhere. We swore blind that if we ever get on our feet again and we had the chance to return we would never stay Downtown again. Out of the 10 times I have been it had to be the worse.

Hmmm sorry to hear that - we always stay downtown usually the nugget as its imo the best value hotel, haven't been over for a couple of years so maybe it will have to be the strip next time.....

Loving this Red - thanks - but with yet another 'older blonde' potentially going to Vegas is it just me or is this becoming more like 'Last of the summer wine goes to vegas?'. Anyone any good at photoshopping.....?

LOL. You don't know her very well do you Trace? You couldn't make her spend money if you beat her with a stick. She does her shopping at Help the Aged and the "Whoops" at Tesco's

Im with The Nun on this. Used to stay downtown from 2003 to 2005 but started to realise that spent lots of time travelling to The Strip. Tried the Strip 2006 and would never go back downtown. Cheap rooms soon outweighed by taxis etc. Plus loads more cardrooms on Strip cf.2003.

Don't forget the buffet at PH...and the Earl of Sandwich for a snack Smiley

I know, I know. I love that story you told where you asked her in Harrods or some other posh shop if she envied the woman who was buying very expensive shoes or similar and she came back with a great response along the lines of she'll only have shoes and I'll still have a wonderful life or something like that. I loved it, she is so right.

I was including myself in that category, there are way to many blondites who are young enough to be my son/daughter. I would expect to be portrayed as Nora Batty although I would have preferred (in some perverse way) to be the mutton dressed up as lamb that always gets off with that old bloke with the bike and jealous wife. Oh how life imitates art.

If I surface in time will be in Caesars for the PLO Saturday.

I have only today managed to be sober/awake enough to work out the wireless option in the hotel, so should now be online for a bit most days.  The first couple of days were thin for cash action, Friday was action-tastic, so some long sessions reqd over the weekend in case next week is also slow midweek.
