At DTD last night they got 197 runners for the £25 freezeout. That's not a typo, 197 runners.

I managed a minor cash before making a button shove and getting my J3 cracked by some donkey's KK, but how about this for a play in the £1/2 Texas cash game...

Villain raises to £12 from ep and I call from button with

Flop is  three clubs  Villain bets £20  I just know he has nothing. I'm up and down now and I decide to smooth call. If I miss I can probably take it away from him on a later street.

The turn is    Villain bets £20 I just call again

The river is the  three diamonds  Villain bets £20 I re pop for £80 more and sit back with a smug expression on my face.

Villain calls my £80 and sets me in for my remaining £200. I remove my smug expression and pass.

Villain shows me

In other news, both the Friday and the Sunday £75 freezout comps now have 5000 starting chips and a 30 minute clock.

Several peeps at DTD reckon we're way off the mark with our nominations for best ever Theme tune.

This is Paul (who, btw is surpisingly old)

He thinks it should be this.

And this is Sarah, who can't possibly be old enough to remember her choice when it was originally broadcast.

BTW- I would like to take this opportunity to scotch the rumour that this pic is now blown up to life-size and pasted on to my bedroom wall.

She thinks it should be this.

(Excellent choice and obv winner imho)

Does anyone remember Robbie Box and Dig Deal?

I thought that was a great theme tune but I can't find it anywhere.

I agree. I've never seen it since it was brodcast. Surely it could stand being repeated considering all the shite the show again and again.

Tom,
I cant beleive you have neglected to tell the world about a far greater play made at DTD on the £1/£2 cash game which was witnessed by a small crowd in the wee hours of the morning on Thursday night!
It takes a specific skill to ensure that  three clubs is played in such a way that it will outdraw your flopped pair and flush draw with the case  on the river after semi-thoughtess pot-sized bets!!!

wp sir, nh, gg, ty etc etc. Cheesy
