, (perhaps because the snooker final was on TV) there was thankfully, wonderfully, blissfully, NO MUSIC PLAYING
It was lovely to just be able to listen to the gentle banter, the swish of the cards, the click of the chips, and the soft dulcet tones of Chinese Frankie.

Seriously though, although Frankie never stops talking, he is probably one of the best readers of the game I have ever seen, and is really worth listening to. He has this amazing ability to put players on exact hands, or to say out loud what his opponent is thinking. It's fascinating, until he does it to you, then it's scary.
Always the joker, Frankie is huge fun to have at your table, but make no mistake, he is a very talented player.
one of the only people in the world that calls me Frances no matter how many times i tell him not to.he is so funny you can hear him from the other end of the room and when hes lost a pot probably from outside.

So we've
Jelled avrie
(Gone away) for a few days over Chrimbo.
We're travelling light, just like we used to when we were "Shifting" every few days. All we have is the pick up, the little trailer, and the barest of essentials.
Oh, and the lappy and Vodafone dongle...

He didn't show much class during the hand that virtually knocked him out of the tournament. He claimed his opponent, who held quad sevens on the river for the absolute nuts, had not actually said "Call" before he turned over his hand.

No. It's definitely "Is it" but when he says it, he means "Innit"

During one particular hand of the the £1/2 Texas game, this one guy bets every street, pre flop, post flop, turn and river, building a very large pot. Woodsey calls every bet, and shows pocket 22.
The guy flings his cards into the muck and says "Jesus Christ man, are you crazy, what the hell did you put me on?"

Yep I was on his table when this hand happened with Ralph just
as we listened. What Tom said about his reading ability is quite true. Frankie had 10's full and he was worried about Quad 7's!

I suspect somewhere in Nottingham there's a Golf GTi without seat covers.

Just tell us where exactly you are please, I've never had custard pie and that looks fantastic. Seriously, the local garden centre has a sale on their tents. I'm going wherever you are. xx
