LOL did it contain the word "OFF" ?

Lol, No, nothing like that. I was speculating about which six blondes were in your garden.

See how we have had no snow in Pompey ... dont know what all the fuss is about !
Ive had these visitors in my garden ever since the snow arrived, makes a change from foxes I suppose

Wow! That's a fantastic pic woodsey. According to Wikipedia, it's a saddle billed stork.  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Saddle-billed_Stork

Did you really take the photograph yourself, and if so, where? There must be a story attached.

Yup, I took it in Kruger Park in South Africa. There birds are notoriously skittish and quite hard to get good close pics of, so if your in a vehicle the noise normally scares them away. I took this on a morning game walk, we saw it in the distance and managed to sneak up on it SAS style and took the pic just peeping over a bank on the edge of the river. I'm a massive safari addict, but don't normally take too many pics of birds, but these are particularly spectacular looking IMO.

she said: "you wanna come for a ride"

I walked up to her slowly and whispered in her ear: "when you got your insurance what did you put down on the forms"?

she left.

To photograph birds you need a long lens, a tripod, (Or good image stablisation) a little luck, and a lot of patience.

Or a shiny red sports car.

That sums it up perfectly, today i only had a 55mm lens on and no tripod as i was just out walking in the snow but as Red says long lens/tripod is essential, luck and patience also.
It has to be said with digital photography its a lot easier than film, i must have taken 300+ photos today with only a dozen or so good ones today.

Keep these bird pics coming, good & bad, genuine or googled. Love them all.

Fancy Woodsey liking Safaris! He's as mad as a box of frogs, yet he likes nature. Very odd.

BirdBox Camera FTW. Superb. Every kid should have one.
