Barny Boatman has taken a juicy ol' pot off of young Tobias Holmeide.

Didn't catch the pre/flop action, but Barny bets 2.5k on the turn of the two hearts board and Holmeide calls. They both check the spadetastic river, and Barny's flush remains good - Holmeide was drawing dead on the turn with .

Rock on the Boat, man, or don't knock the Boatman, or something similarly tenuous as far as puns go. Sorry. I have a cold.

The gent not in the photo below is one Nicolas Briant, a French qualifier who apparently forgot to show up today. He might make it if he shows up soon. Maybe.

Here are two whole generations of Norwegian poker - lifetime achievement award-winner Thor Hansen (not the one in the Sean Paul hat) and Trond Eidsvig (not the one who looks like he's in a dentist's waiting room), serial final tablist and definitely not someone you'd be delighted to find on your EPT starting table, tricky and running hot - a good combination.

Thanks Floppy, I am imagining Barny's face laboriously Photoshopped on to all of those people's heads, framed by Afros. Great stuff.

This young gent, Dennis Sorensen, this really really young-looking gent who I swear is too young to play cards, is nonetheless happily bullying his table. Thijs Van Tilburg made 1k from early position, and Ole Andersen called (Ole!), but they both laid it down when Sorensen made it 4k from the small blind.

I'm going to say Ole! again for no reason.

Ole!

Dutchman Leroy Soesman moves in to a raise, making Peter Petersen (Danish names are awesome) lay down pocket Nines face up. Gus Hansen is making some noises, and Petersen says to him, "Would you call with my hand?" Says Gus: "I call with anything..."

Fairly eye-watering exit for Danny Silk just now, as Ola Brandborn, more comfortably stacked than his opponent, made a pressure-y move after they saw a flop of two hearts and Silk bet out 4,000 (leaving himself what looked like about 10k).  Brandborn signified ‘all-in’ and left his opponent a Bet for his Tournament Life (or B.L.T. as I am going to try to get it known).  He called, eventually, showing .  Brandborn flipped the for a called bluff and watched as the turn brought the but the river… the .  That’s twice that exact card has popped out on the river to bust someone in fairly unfortunate circumstances.
