He has AK at best surely. Even in a $109 sat there are donks pushing with this and much much worse, better to gamble now against this unknown player looking at the probably good side of a coinflip at worst now than going against a good player later. If you lose, you can always play another...

Without any information on the player you need to assume he has one of 4 holdings- JJ KK AA or AK, only 1 of which you are in a desirable position so I wait for a better spot- obviously he could be a complete donk but if you have no information of this I dont see how you can call

So would those of you that are choosing to fold actually push as the villain with KK/AA/AK?

not knocking, just asking and would like to hear reasons why.

In this situation; Raise, Reraise, reraise all in I do push (especially online) as you do get called a high percentage of the time, if I'm honest Preflop is probably the biggest downside of my game though. I usually push AA KK as you are getting called a lot of the time-I think a further reraise looks even more fishy than an all in. With AK(which I am hopeless at playing) I push as I expect a race- I dont like reraising further only to get called and miss the flop

This is the spot where the beauty of online databases comes into play imo. When this exact situation used to come up in sngs, I used to sharkscope the player and if he was a losing player i would get it in but if not i would pass.

Thanks guys, reason I asked is that I had similar recently against a guy who was a solid player and I was stunned when I raised early in a tourney (7k starting stack)and he pushed all in with AA. Never got a chance to ask him why.

a) was it a rebuy, easy call if it is. f/o given its the first hand and people are dumb, i still call.

b) far more combos of AK than AA/KK and ur a 57% fave over the most likely holding.
