This seems like an appropriate moment to urge all the guests reading this thread to take just a moment to sign up to blondepoker - you'll be able to say hi, cheer on your favourite players, make odd demands like close-up photos of the chips, and, skills allowing, post bizarre photoshops that serve little or no purpose beyond making us giggle!

Plus this dreadfulness will occur if you don't:

The following players all have over 40k. I was going to find a few more, but the players dispersed for a quick 15 minute break. I am still bearing the trample marks.  Cry

Uffe Holm -- 73,000

Cyril Bensoussau -- 63,000

James Campbell -- 58,000

Yuri Kerzhapkin == 51,500

Stevie Levy -- 51,500

Glen Chorny -- 48,000

Alexia Portal -- 45,000

Dario Alioto -- 41,500

Eeeeeexit at the hands of Ed de Haas, one of the biggest names in poker.

He was playing against the gent pictured below (anyone identify) who, if one was going to judge him by a quick look, one might think to be a pretty solidish player, maybe cautious - after all this is nearly the last level of the day and he had a little over his starting stack.  Of course, it's absolute rubbish to make such conclusions based on nothing at all, as this hand illustrates perfectly:

Ed de Haas raised preflop to 1,150, called by the small blind.
Flop:    SB bet out 3k pretty fast, but not as fast as de Haas called it.
Turn:   Now he bet out 4k, got raised by 13k, moved all in (the only raise option left to him, and it wasn't a lot), call.

de Haas:
SB Matey:  Two Clubs

The river - a blank (considering) three diamonds and the stacked player just kind of sat there shell-shocked for a few moments (which is when I took this picture - discreetly and without flash, of course) before wandering off.    Then, like at school when someone leaves the room and everyone else talks about him, they did that.

Below are chip counts for some of the remaining players that have been requested today. If we've missed anyone, please give us a shout, although the chances are that they might be out.

Thomas Dunwoodie -- 14,500
Lee Nelson -- 15,325
Vicky Coren -- 14,100
Neil Channing -- 31,300
Mickey Wernick -- 15,200
Steve Paul-Ambrose -- 5,875
Michael Martin -- 68,500
Andrew Teng -- 28,575
Manuel Palanca -- 23,150
Paul Bracken -- 22,000

No sign of James Honeybone, Tero Laurila, Maz Nawab, Faraz Jaka, Jeff Garza or Mike McDonald, so it looks as though they may have been eliminated.

You know those awesome timelapse films of mushrooms growing, or flowers opening, or insects building something?  That's kind of how I think of these pics of Marc 'Mr. Cool' Goodwin.  Earlier he seemed engaged in his surroundings, but now, midway through Level Six, he looks to have sort of given up.  Note how the mustard jacketed guy in the background is moving at a normal pace, therefore blurry sans flash, while Goodwin seems to have been preserved in perspex.  Maybe he's just on screensaver until Day Two.
