Everton saying its costing them nothing...or atleast Moyles did on sky sports news 5mins ago.
They supposedly got him for free and will pay something for him based on games he plays That's a fantastic deal they got then. Saha scores one in three when he's fit...if they can keep him fit (like they have done with Woodgate) he will be the buy of the season.

but that doesnt suit the style Martin o'neil usually employs- he has always used a target man in the centre, Heskey, Sutton, Hartson, Carew- playing gabby up top would not suit his sytem IMO
Away from home on the counter attack he uses Harewood, and Gabby is way better than Harewood. He has nowhere near as much pressence though. If you want a physcial presence you just use Carew in the first instance.

I really want to fast forward through the next 12 hours and have someone tell me newcastle haven't sold anyone else, unless their surname is smith, and that we've signed a few players with quality.

Without a sealed deal in place man citys new owners don't seem to mind splashing the cash! Would be interesting if the deal doesn't go through!

1430: The latest from Man City - and I have to say that they are fast becoming the club of the day. BBC Sport understands that a £30m bid has indeed been made for Dimitar Berbatov, while the club are in talks with Valencia's David Villa and Stuttgart's Mario Gomez.
WOW if thats true.

Seriously, if Berbatov goes to City, then all talk about champions league etc will have been bollocks, why on earth would he sign for a team that have less chance of winning anything thatn us ? madness and I am not at all convinced.
