Aren't the oscars decided by a select few ?  usually with their heads jammed up their arses

6000 members.   95% (I think, if not its a ridic high %) are over 40, male, white.

Funnily the main gripe with the Artist has been people demanding there money back cos they didn't realise it was a silent movie.

Do people really bowl into a film literally not knowing anything about it ?

Em........sometimes, yes.

Especially if the fecking cinema doesn't display any information about the films it is showing.

I think these days there's a really useful thing you can look up information on....its called..er hold on ..oh yeah... the internet... Smiley

I think most people have access to this standard technology..... im not trying to be deliberately obtuse but do you really rock up to the cinema without looking up whats playing and briefly what its about ?

Absolutely. I'm not sure why it matters to you but let me explain it for you. Typically what happens is I am in Gunwharf Quays with some friends; have been to a restaurant or some of the shops, or both, and someone says what'll we do next. There are bars at Gunwharf and elsewhere, there are the casinos, bowling, etc. Or there is the cinema, right in the centre of Gunwharf. Get it now? Not everyone is a movie-nerd reading up on the latest releases and making a special dedicated trip to the cinema to see the film they're just dying to see - lol at that!

Don't think you need to be a movie reading nerd to use common sense... Sit down and have a little think and perhaps your realise there is a reason why Cinemas don't feel the need to display information about the films showing....  Get it now ?

^^^ Fight...fight...fight!

If you like comedies with no amusing moments or good lines, Wanderlust is perfect. Paul Rudd just about saves the day in places though.

Lolz @ Jennifer Aniston's topless scene being cut at the last minute. Obv never gonna be shown, just a desperate attempt to drum up some interest in a poor comedy.

Money Ball - Brad Pitt puts in a stella performance as Billy Beane, career high performance actually

Contagion - If you've watched Outbreak you've already seen this film

Immortals

Theseus is a mortal man chosen by Zeus to lead the fight against the ruthless King Hyperion, who is on a rampage across Greece to obtain a weapon that can destroy humanity...

Pretty decent Sword & Sandals dust up very much in the vein of '300'... some pretty bloody fight scenes and good special effects..standard fair but enjoyed it..well worth a watch

7/10

Abduction

An excuse for Taylor Lautner to get his six pack out in a standard thriller about a young man who comes across a missing person website with him as a child... suddenly plunged into a violent world where no one is who they seem he must fight to find the truth...

A bit contrived but if you can put your suspension of disbelief shoes on its worth a watch

Know this is an old one but watched "Looking for Eric" today and I haven't enjoyed a film as much since Amelie.    Great film.   9.5/10
