Wolf Creek for the second time last night. Still awesome. Aussie flicks ftw. Rabbit Proof Fence, Whale Rider, Red Dog, Wolf Creek. All different gear.

Watched Hugo last night... Beautifully shot but not what I was expecting... Watched with the kids and promised them a fantasy adventure..time and again it promised to go in that direction but never delivered.... In the end a little long and a little self indulgent on scorese's part

Safe House

Denzel being cool, Ryan Reynolds being cool, some shooty stuff and car chasey stuff. All pretty standard and unmemorable but fine imo.

Watched Tin Tin with the kids..kids are great...i can justify watching kiddie films...wiiii...

Anyway this Spielberg effort captures the original perfectly and adds top notch animation/almost lifelike to boot.. Excellent adventure yarn thrown in added up to a throughly enjoyable hour and three quarters..

Views on Oscar dominating The Artist?

I can see its clever, I can see its brilliantly made, but meh.

I didn't walk out though, saying it was crap, as quite a few unsuspecting punters have!

Glad Clooney didn't win Best Actor, so Frenchy is welcome to that one. Deserves it just for his smile. Red Dog should have got best Movie gonggggg.

6000 members.   95% (I think, if not its a ridic high %) are over 40, male, white.

Funnily the main gripe with the Artist has been people demanding there money back cos they didn't realise it was a silent movie.

LOLZ. 'There's no talking or nuffing! I wanna see the manager!'

Average age is over 50 I think for voters?

Did anyone stay up and watch it? I did once. Watched a bit of the red carpet shizzle last night and gave up.

I've watched a few times over the years, but red carpet doesnt interest me and the back slapping gets a bit grating.  Last time was 2008 when John Stewart hosted and I was interested how it would go during the writers strike and all.

Do people really bowl into a film literally not knowing anything about it ?
