Hell yeah, remake was hopeless. FGTATWSC definitely in the no.1 spot though.

Any of you watched it, what do you think?

It is a great film. The suspense you get during it can be pretty awesome. The lead role by Claudia Cardinale is acted well, but wowsers I think she is up there with the prettiest film stars I have seen on screen, smitten.

Could be seen as a little slow and lumbering but that adds to the suspense of when something does happen. It too, is highly stylised. I think I have only seen two westerns now (The Searchers) and both have been similar in its style  over substance and I have really enjoyed them. My dad absolutely loves a Western and him doing so put me off ever watching one, but I have been missing out. Next, I will try The Good, the Bad and the Ugly.

Tighty top 3 films please roughly and we will see how polar we are?

impossible to say. Apocalypse now/DeerHunter/Private Ryan in one category for example  LA Confidential/American Beauty in another

I tend to know what won't float my boat, so avoid accordingly

Zero Dark Thirty

Have been looking to watch this for a while... try not to spoil it in case no one knows how it ends   Wink..

Essentially the CIA background story in the hunt for Bin Laden...

I found it interesting as it charts the hunt interspersed with real world events as we saw them and how it impacted on the CIA itself. Ends obv with the Navy seal mission, on that note the US special forces have to be the noisiest fuckers in the world.

Might not be everyones cup of tea as it is a slow build and runs 2 and a half hours.. but i enjoyed it as there wasn't the usual USA !USA !USA ! over the top dramatisation

6.5/10

Also peeled Jackie Brown..just love anything Tarantino..dialogue is awesome..Samuel L is the coolest cat around..

Correct, my dad put me off most westerns! Going to give that and Unforgiven a bit of love today methinks.

Martha Marcy May Marlene - 7/10 very much worth the watch.

It's about a girl trying to come to grips with life after leaving a cult... Great directorial debut by Sean Durkin
